CHAPTER 48 THE RIVERHEAD- SERENITY OR SORCERY

We are all having dinner and engaging in casual conversations when Noah asks, "how did the kids' school registration go?"

"It went fine, I still have the paperwork to go over, sign and return to the school before the end of the week. The headmistress seemed a bit rigid, but other than that it seems like a really good school"

"Trust me, the school is great, great curriculum, knowledgeable teachers and the headmistress is a great educator. She was chosen by the elders because of the respect the community has for her but mostly for her competence in molding young minds. Young werewolves need stern leaders otherwise they become rowdy" Noah says.

"So, after dinner do you guys want to take a walk in up the river trail. It's still light outside" Noah says, and the kids get excited.

We are all dressed in athletic wear and sneakers. Noah looks sexy in his sweat bottoms and close-fitting white t shirt that clings to his broad chest and his six pack abbs. I look at him and I start to lust dirty thoughts going through my mind. 'I'm going to run circles with my tongue on those abbs and that dick tonight' I thought to myself.

He stops looking at his phone, looks up at me and air kisses me from across the room. "You guys ready?" he says, and we all respond "yes".

The scenery on the trail was beautiful I have never seen flora and fauna like this before. This place is a hidden paradise it is tranquil and relaxing the only sounds were that of the thunderous river gushing below and the birds chirping above. I can't imagine the river being any better than the trail, this has got to be the highlight.

It took us about thirty minutes to get to the Riverhead and the wonder in front of me is a sight to behold.

The large steam of water is surrounded by a never-ending wall of rocks. Unlike what one would expect there is no cascading waterfalls coming from the rocks above. The pool is being filled strictly from an underground water source.

The jewel blue water inside the pool is calm, still, and as mesmerizing as the ocean. It curves strategically and mystically through the forest. while at the edges of the pool the water overflows ghastly and rapid, gushing over the rocks. Flowing downstream with a force that was loud, powerful and mesmeric.

I have never seen anything like this, and I can't take my eyes off it. "Wow, where is all this water coming from, is this where the river originates, how is this possible?" I say to Noah.

"Yeah, it is something to behold" he says while holding Tom's hand and looking out into the water. "This is the Riverhead; our elders believe it holds mystical healing powers for those who the Moon Goddess shows exceptional favor. There are legends and myths about it I don't really know many of them but it's beautiful I come here all the time to swim. I always leave feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated like I just woke from a twelve-hour sleep" Noah says loud enough for me to hear over the river then puts his arms around me.

I just stood there and watch in a hypnotic state, my mind and body felt an overpowering urge to get inside the water. It was spellbinding, pulling me, attracting me like a moth to the light. My legs start to move toward the water like they had a mind of their own. I didn't realize what I was doing until I felt Noah's firm grip on my arm and he says, "hey maybe take your shoes off" and a puzzled look on his face.

I look down and was frightened at the realization of how close I was to the edge of the narrow bridge and I instantly step back into Noah's chest. Noah turns to Tom and Abby then says, "you guys want to get in?" They both said yes.

Noah takes off his clothes and remain in his swim chunk then says "let's do this" then dives in. About a minute later he resurfaces on the opposite end of the pool. He swims back toward us and says, "you guys coming?" we all took our shoes off and jump in fully clothed.
