Noah steps onto the boat but doesn't stop to help me get on. Eli sees and looks at me with a look of pity on his face and comes over to help me get on the boat.
The boat crew introduced themselves to the kids and me then tell us where they were going to take us. We were going to an area where we can do some snorkeling and swimming. Then head to a riverside restaurant, where we can have lunch and, on the way, back, do site seeing.
It all sounded like so much fun, so why did I feel like my dog just died, like there was just pure sadness in the pit of my stomach. Noah is on the other side of the boat talking to Elijah and the boat captain, he's avoiding me, and I can't handle the distance and tension between us.
Tom and Abby are having fun, the scenery is breath taking, nature at its best and my mind is on one thing and one thing only.
I turn around facing his direction, and our eyes connect, both of us holding each other's stare. Everything that I was so mad about forgotten, I'm immobilized, and unable to turn away from his gaze. I want to go over to him and take him in my arms, never let him go and make him forgive me.
Tom squeals loudly and Abby says, "oh my gosh". My head turn on impulse to see what hat=d them so excited. It was a huge fish swimming in the water, but when I turn back around, Noah had started talking to the guys again.
We got to the swimming area and the kids, and I are fitted into our snorkeling gears and our life vests adjusted. Elijah helped Abby and Tom into the water and Noah takes my hand and helps me into the water. He touches my bikini clad body, and the electricity from our connection soar though me and I flinch.
He looks at me and says, "sorry about that, are you ok?".
I nod my head and say, "don't worry about it, it's not your fault" then smile at him. I hear Abby call me and I turn to find out what she wanted. She signals for me to come over to where she was.
Before I swim away, I say to Noah "can we talk later after all this?" I gesture with my hand, and he says "yes, go see what she wants".
Abby, wanted to do the deep river snorkeling, but the guys needed my approval. I asked if it was safe and they said yes, Noah volunteer to go with Abby and I stayed and do the regular snorkeling with Tom.
After snorkeling, we got back to the boat, others are not back yet, so Tom dry ourselves and we sit and wait for them to return. A few minutes later they surface and head toward the boat. Noah and Eli stayed in the water a bit longer chatting and swimming for a while. Eventually they come aboard when I tell them I was starving and wanted to go eat.
It didn't take long to get to the riverside restaurant. It literally was a drive through restaurant except it's on the river and we are on a boat. Guys on scuba bikes go from boat to boat to take orders.
The menu consisted only of things fished from the river, catfish, trout, largemouth bass you name it they can catch it, it's on the menu. We were like fifth in line to be served but as expected Noah Dracon waits on no man. We got our meals before even the people who were before us.
Everybody on this river knows Noah, about a hundred people came out and talk to him. The women and their daughters all giving him googly eyes. I can't even blame them, just the sight of him gets me hot and bothered.
He is wearing his swim chunks no shirt, well-built, toned, wash board abbs with his broad shoulders and over six feet height. Paired with the most beautiful pair of ocean blue eyes you will see on any man. This man says he's mine, the Gods must be crazy.
"Eye fucking me, Taylor?" he says in my ears.
I didn't realize how lost I was in thought until I heard him say that and he startled me.
