A/N: Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful couple of weeks. <3 <3 Thank you so much for taking the time to read, comment and/or leave kudos on the last chapter. You all are so kind and encouraging. Thank you. <3 With September, I hope you find yourself surrounded in wonderful, turning leaves and cozy jumpers and the best of soups. <3 <3 <3
As always, I do not own the rights to this story world, or to these characters.I apologize for any typos or mistakes--I've been editing for quite some time, and I'm certain I missed some.
Okay! Grab your snack (I recommend something quite sweet this week--maybe cinnamon rolls), your drink (Chamomile or hot cocoa would pair well), and maybe build a blanket fort.
[No spoilers, but: My perspective may be subjective, however imho, this chapter is so sugary, writing it might've given me a cavity. This might be a good one to cozy up for, if that sort of thing brings you joy.]

Chapter 49: "Evergreen"
Hermione
May 26, 2003, 12:23 a.m.
George had a different look about him.
Not the kind, sweet expression she'd expected. Not a face of someone who'd looked about the pines and found a shred of peace, of cheer, in a bleak situation.
For all she'd studied him since waking in Mungo's, she'd never seen quite this look on his face. There was a wildness to it, something unnerving and uncanny as his eyes brushed over her like lightning clap in a heavy mist.
And the spectrum that followed it was swift and tangled as a coursing river. Emotions strobed over him, vanishing before she had a chance to comprehend and recognize them.
"You brought it here," he said lowly, blinking, as if it was somehow difficult to get the words out. "All of this?"
"Yes," Hermione whispered.
