Around Again.
A/N: Hello everyone!
First: my sincerest apologies for the massive delays on this chapter. I got quite carried away with it. It is a little over sixty thousand words, but it carries the narrative that I had planned for it, and after some debate, I decided to keep it housed as one unit.
Because this chapter is so long, if you'd like read in multiple sessions, I recommend doing so at day breaks. I will also be placing "##" to mark these spots, to help with easier navigation.
Thank you so much for reading, for commenting and/or leaving a kudos, and for the steady stream of encouragement that was shared to the tiktok page and other Lumos profiles over the week. You all made writing and editing this far less anxiety-inducing by supporting a healthy balance. (That said, I sort of overdid it in my earnestness to get this done, and I've not slept in a few days. I offer apologies here for any mistakes or typos.)
While we're still sticking to biweekly, I overdid it a bit with this. (Apologies!!) The next chapter deadline is August 16th. Like the last time I far overdid it, I anticipate that I'll need a chunk of time to breathe and reset after this one. <3 <3 That said, there should [hopefully] be some LUMOS!Universe content coming to you during that gap. [Mollywobbles Part I, which pairs quite well with this part of LUMOS, I believe].
<3 <3 <3 Thank you so much for your kindness and encouragement through all of this. <3 <3 <3
Other notes: The "official" trailer for this chapter is still coming [hopefully. I need to sleep, first]. Why? Because I've had it planned for ages, and I was very excited to try my hand at making it. I have props. Props. It would be a massive shame to not use them. (Sorry, this A/N is quite rambly because I am very, very tired.)
If you are one of those readers who enjoys connecting dots and hunting for little references or connections, there are quite a few in here.
As always, I do not own the rights to this story world or to these characters.
This week, I recommend getting proper cozy. Treat yourself. If there was a time to build a blanket fort, it is now. Find your tea or your cocoa or your iced water (fun tip: if you fill your ice cube tray halfway, it makes smaller ice cubes. For some reason, it's brought me a lot of joy), and grab your snack. (I recommend biscuits & soup. Unless you're in a heat wave. Then maybe put your biscuits in the freezer and enjoy them cold.) Finally, get your comfiest socks and blanket. Let's dive in.
