Jennie had just finished a high-stakes press conference, which had been a challenging and frustrating experience. As she walked back to her office, she couldn't shake off the feelings of frustration and disappointment that lingered.

During the press conference, she had faced a barrage of contentious questions from reporters, including an arrogant one who seemed intent on provoking her. The relentless questioning had prevented her from effectively conveying the company's key messages and achievements. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase the company's successes.

As she entered her office, she closed the door behind her and leaned heavily against her desk. She took a moment to collect her thoughts and regain her composure. The frustration of not being able to present the company in the best light weighed on her. Despite the immediate frustration, her commitment to the company's reputation and success would drive her to find better strategies for handling challenging media interactions.

(Knocking on Jennie's office door)

"May I come in?"

Jennie sighs heavily, "Please, come in."

Irene enters the room, noticing Jennie clenched fists and furrowed brows.

Her best friend Irene finds out what happened and comes over to give support and listen to her frustrations.

"I saw what happened in the press conference. Are you alright?"

Jennie shook her head, "Honestly, I'm furious. Those reporters are disrespectful, keep prying into my personal life. It was unprofessional and humiliating."

"I completely understand why you're angry. It was completely uncalled for. You handled it well, though, maintaining your professionalism."

Jennie takes a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment. She repeats a calming mantra to herself, "Thank you for saying that. But it's just frustrating that I have to deal with such disrespectful behavior."

Irene come over, placing a comforting hand on Jennie's shoulder, "Jennie, you're a strong and capable leader, and this incident won't define your legacy. Let's discuss how we can address this situation and ensure it doesn't happen again."

Irene offers a reassuring smile, reminding her that she has a network of loyal supporters who stand by her side. Together, they begin to strategize on how to handle future encounters with the arrogant reporter and maintain the CEO's dignity and professionalism in the face of such challenges.

In the evening,

After a long and exhausting day at work, Jennie finally arrives home. The weight of her responsibilities at the office has left her feeling drained and tired. However, her exhaustion fades away in an instant when she sees her 4-year-old son, Hyeong, peacefully asleep.

JENNIE POV.

I stroke Hyeong's hair while he sucks on his milk bottle. In the meantime, I'm the one watching over him because Ajumma hasn't come home yet. I extended her vacation to have quality time with her family so I could spend more time with him. Sometimes when I leave for work, he's still asleep, and when I come home, he's already asleep. It's not like before when Jisoo was still with the company. I could go home whenever I wanted, but now she's been assigned as the CEO of our branch in Busan.

But, I'm still thankful because Hyeong's presence hasn't faded from our lives, even though his dad and I are busy sometimes. His longing and desire to see us are still there. He's so sweet.

I don't know why, but he understands difficult things once, and he also has remarkable patience for his age. I know how smart he is, with habits inherited from his father that are opposite to mine. I don't have that kind of patience; I'm easily irritated and grumpy.
