The next day,
Lisa picked up Lithan, and it was their special day together. They had planned to visit Lisa's mother, who had been eagerly waiting to see her grandson.
As they embarked on their journey, Lisa couldn't help but steal glances at her son, who was happily engrossed in playing with his toys in the backseat.
Lisa's face lit up with a grin as she reached for her phone and plugged it into the car's speaker system. She played their favourite song, and as soon as the familiar tune filled the car, Lithan couldn't contain his excitement. He shouted, "Baba! I know that song!"
Lisa chuckled, sharing in his excitement. "Yeah, I know, this is our favourite song, right?"
With the music pumping through the car's speakers, Lisa started bobbing her head to the beat, getting into the groove like a rock star. Lithan observed her and mimicked her moves, joining in with the lyrics.
"I said, I tried to text you, tried to explain to you, but you said bye-bye..."
"Eyyy! I said, don't be a lil' kid, just do it like quiz, I'm gonna let you fly," Lisa added with enthusiasm, and they sang together, creating a special moment in their car.
As the song continued, Lisa and Lithan even embraced a few lines in Thai, connecting through the shared experience of music and bonding on their way to visit Lisa's mother.
"Baba?"
"I want to go to Khao Kheow Zoo."
Lithan's excitement bubbled over, prompting Lisa to reduce the volume of the car radio as she glanced at him in the rearview mirror.
"We're already going there, aren't we?"
"Hmm... I want to ride the elephant."
"Ooh, aren't you scared?"
"No, because you're going with me.'
Lisa hesitated for a moment, recalling her own past experience. "No, baby, I'd rather ride a horse than that," she replied, revealing a traumatic memory of an elephant ride from her childhood.
Lithan seemed a bit disappointed but quickly perked up when Lisa made a promise. "Anyways, forget about it, we'll be back there next time, and we'll go with Mommy."
Lithan's face lit up with delight. "Yeheey!"
After a long ride, Lisa reached her parents' house. She honked the horn outside the grand mansion, and the massive gate automatically swung open. She parked her car in the spacious garage next to her brother's expensive cars.
"We're here, baby," she whispered, unbuckling her seatbelt and turning to see her son in his baby car seat at the back. "Baba, I'm sleepy," Lithan mumbled, clearly fighting off drowsiness.
Lisa couldn't help but smile at his cuteness. She got out of the car and carefully took him in her arms, letting him rest on her chest. "Sleep well, my prince," she whispered as she gathered their things and headed towards the front door. She was about to ring the doorbell when it suddenly swung open.
