I wiped my face with tissues as I came outside, walking with angry steps and Callahan came behind me laughing. "What was that?"

I turned around and growled, "What was what?"

"You seriously need a scientist to check what's inside of your brain," he said, making fun of me and it didn't calm me, instead I became furious.

"That Devil is nuts! What was her problem?" I shouted and said to him, "And don't laugh!"

He laughed more but it calmed me down. He was looking still dashing with his black jacket and a t-shirt with a pair of jeans. His hair must have grown as it crossed his shoulders yet he looked more handsome.

I drifted my eyes away as I cursed myself internally. What was wrong with me?

"Alright, I won't laugh but you need to keep your anger at bay because the devil whom you just threw a bowl of ice creams at is not a puny devil." He said.

"Who is she?" I asked as I dumped the tissue on the dustbin, nearby.

"She is the devil of Chaos. High ranking devil. Although not the same as me in terms of position and power." He informed me, "But she is a devil general of two hells. That means she is powerful and a second generation devil."

I looked at him and blinked. Now that I calmed down, my knees weakened at the thought that I just insulted a great devil general with a bowl of ice cream. Now I won't be able to sleep peacefully at night. She would haunt me forever.

He tried so hard not to laugh as his lips twitched and finally he let it loose and burst into a laughter as I roared, "Don't laugh! Can't you see that I am scared shitless!"

"Really?" His eyes moved from my tip to toe as he said, "Right now, you seem like a fire pit to me." He smiled letting me see his dimple and I turned around.

I moved away my gaze and mumbled as my ears felt warm, "Now, she is going to make my life a living chaos."

"Don't worry," he said as he bent and his face came closer, "When I am near, nobody would dare to touch you and besides, she works under me."

My eyes widened at the nearness and I stepped back, my heart thumping against my chest. Why did he have to say all these words? It made my heart run wild.

"But you went away..." I said before I could understand just what I said. My words felt like I was offended and sad. I was certain leaving me alone would make my life better but here, I was complaining to him for leaving me alone.

"I mean, what would happen if you went away?" I tried to cover it up as he said, "We are binded by a strong contract, don't worry." He smiled, "Nobody would try to get close to you."

"Yet they did." I pointed at that.

"They love to create a mess so they will do that again in the future."

"But why?" I asked in frustration, "What did I ever do to them?"

"It is not you, Carson." He said, the smile was long gone and it was replaced with a grim face. "It is me with whom they want to get their revenge."

I raised a brow, "And why is that? What did you do?"

He smirked and pride was visible on his face, "Because I cut their pay last month."

I blinked. "No doubt they want to get back to you." I huffed.

"Can't help." He shrugged, "They should have been more careful. It was their fault and I will cut payment if they failed to do their tasks."
