[This is before he was sent to the Dungeons years ago. A moment in his POV. I could not add it in the book so added it as a Bonus Chapter]
Almorach was sitting on his throne, his hollowed eyes seeming pleased. There was pride in his heart. He was proud of himself for he was the one who got selected by Lucifer.
His hands caressed the hand rests of the throne as if he was carving each carves of that throne in his mind. He had yearned for this day.
Everyone was bowing before him and he loved that feeling.
He had been training and working hard and now everything paid off. Devionth came as he congratulated and his brother came as well followed by others as they all failed to get the power of being a ruler.
Days passed, weeks passed, years passed and it seemed he wasn't having enough. He was doing everything he could but he felt he got stuck with the throne. He wanted more powers. But with all of the work, he barely had time to go to the human world. Not only that if he gets one contract, it would take several months to get the soul. He wasn't feeling like waiting this long.
He was sitting in his chamber, papers and scrolls were in front of him scattered on his desk. His head buried in his palms as he thought of going to the human world.
"Almorach, something happened?" A voice called capturing his attention. He looked up and it was Devionth.
"Ah! Devionth." He said, "I think I just need to get some fresh air. I am feeling exhausted."
Devionth looked at him for a while as he nodded. "Go. Who is stopping you?"
"But this works." He pointed to his desk.
Devionth smiled. "You can do that after you return."
He chuckled. He knew that Devionth knew him well. Both of them were from the same clan and since they were children, they were best buds. His father was the leader of the clan while Devionth's father was the right hand man. Just like now.
He was ruling Hell while Devionth was his right hand man.
Almorach nodded and stood up. "You know, I would have been insane if I didn't have you."
Devionth smirked. "I know I am that charming."
Both of them laughed as their laughter echoed in the room. Those were the days where Almorach and Devionth would go out together and have fun. Beverages and women, everything was going great until one day, Almorach was attacked.
The south region's ruler attacked him and Almorach was just a second close to shredding his head. But Devionth came and saved him.
He saw Devionth fighting head on with the ruler and he wasn't even stepping back. As the two devils fought, Almorach understood that his best pal had gotten stronger. Much stronger than he used to be.
Jealousy filled in Almorach's heart. He was only a right hand man of his yet he was more powerful than him. He saw himself losing the crown.
The south region's leader flew away as Devionth's brother came with help but when he was going he said Almorach, "You are one pitiful ruler."
Devionth came and stretched his hand, "Almorach, are you alright?"
He tilted his head up as his inside howled with anger. He clenched his fist and slapped away Devionth's hands as he stood up on his own. He didn't need his help.
"Call me Lord Almorach." He said and there was something appeared on Devionth's face. Confusion? Hurt? He didn't know but Devionth nodded as he again asked, "Are you alright, Lord Almorach?"
