It was a great morning with sun rays penetrating from my windows lighting my whole bedroom in its warmth and clouds floating on the sky like ships in the ocean but my eyes watched the ceiling in a lazy gaze as I had no energy left in me after struggling with Callahan.
"No one's gonna marry me." I said as I closed my eyes.
"That's thirty-seventh times you have said that." Callahan said from beside me as he was laying on my bed with me. I turned my face at him and saw he was lying with his eyes closed.
My lips quivered and I bit it as an angry growl left from the back of my throat. "And why are you here sleeping next to me?"
He opened his eyes and turned his head to me. "Because I am tired with all the struggles you had put me through and don't forget I had to use my power to make you stay quiet for a few moments and also to remove the seal." He added, "The seal took a lot of my power and I am drained."
He slowly moved his head away and mumbled, "I have to go back to Hell to replenish my powers."
"Then go! Why are you here?" I asked.
"Would you just keep your mouth shut for a moment?" He said and my lips quivered. He saw everything and now he was saying to keep me quiet about it. I sniffed.
I might sound too much but that was how my parents raised me. They made me think that a girl's shame was her most precious gift to her life partner. Even I had witnessed it in my parents. They had been together for thirty years now and they were still so proud about it. They were strict in their beliefs and I respected that. I wanted it to be like that but it was ruined.
"Stop crying already!" Callahan said with a rude tone and it made me sniff more.
"Listen!" He said as I turned my back toward him then he gently asked, "Just look at me, please?"
I slowly turned toward him and looked at him as he said, "You are still a virgin, right?"
"But you saw me."
"I didn't do anything."
"But you touched me..." I moved my eyes away from him as it felt awkward and my heart beat raised again as I mumbled, "Everywhere..."
He placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "Listen, it is not a sin if you have done anything adultery with anyone before marriage and it is certainly not a sin if a man saw you naked. It is just a belief that people created over time. Sex is an art and if it doesn't exist, all of you won't exist either. It is a magnificent creation so any living being can keep on living by giving birth. They leave their traits to the next generation and then to the next generation to the next and it keeps on but some humans do that for fun."
"So... Is it not a sin?" I asked.
"No. Not until you are harming others for your fun with knowing so well that it can ruin other's life." He said.
I gave it a thought and asked, "What if I do something wrong without knowing?"
"Then it is not a sin."
"Then what is a sin exactly?"
"It is for another time, Carson," he said and sat up, "I need to know first how to remove that spell from your body fully."
I sat up as well. "What? You didn't remove it?" I asked.
"I did most of it but there are some fragments of spells still on you and no matter how much I tried, it is not leaving." He said and I was about to lash out on him but seeing him so concentrated and serious, I didn't. I felt he was genuinely worried or very offended about something. Not to mention, at the mention of Droy, he was becoming furious.
