[Since it is a book for devils and demons, the rituals and all are made by me. They don't follow any actual rituals and such or any demonic things. It is just for comedy purposes. Please don't get offended. I have altered Hell and Heaven with my own imagination and they don't follow any religious things. And the actual mythological beings I have mentioned are all being used many times so I guess, I can alter them as well.]

Callahan's POV

Almorach went down as I chanted so the ground became like before because if it stayed like that, people would panic.

The ground came back to normal as I turned around to see Carson.

My heart clenched when she closed her eyes saying her wishes were fulfilled already. Well, I knew that already.

But I couldn't take her soul away. At first, I didn't know why but now I know.

I moved my gaze toward the unconscious body of her and my breath hitched and an unsettling feeling stirred in me as if a part of me went missing. It felt so empty and hollow.

She was pale and Miorith and K'han was trying to get her back. Gretarioth stood behind Miorith with a grim face and as he sensed my eyes on him he looked up at me. His face said that...

My feet slowly dragged me toward them as Miorith said in a panicked voice, "She is not breathing."

I knelt down beside her laying body. I could not hear her heartbeat nor her pulse. My stomach fell as I felt my body stiffening at the sight. I clenched my teeth trying to stop myself from realizing the fact that she was...

I should have known the reason why I marked her. Instead of avoiding her, I should have been with her.

My palms clenched on their own as my heart ran fast.

She laid on the ground as if she was still asleep. Her face was peaceful as if she was dreaming a happy dream. I heard her last words.

I caught her hands in me and it still felt soft. The softness of her made me weak as my lips quivered. I bit it hard.

She wasn't gone...

She wasn't gone...

She can't be gone...

Before I knew it, a drop of tear fell from my eyes.

Why? I never cried. Not for anyone. Why now?

I knew it.

I should have told her that I fell for her.

"You can still save her." Gretarioth said.

We all looked at him with perplexed eyes as he looked at me with a sad expression.

He pursed his lips and I knew very well what he meant by that. I knew that too but she wouldn't agree.

"You know I can't do that to her." I said.

"That's the only way..." Gretarioth's eyes stayed on me for a moment as he added, "And you have to hurry before her soul leaves her body."

I wanted to but she would never agree.

"That doesn't matter anymore, does it?" A voice of a child asked as all of our heads snapped behind, to see the source of it.

There was a small child standing behind us. He had a navy blue full sleeve t-shirt and black pants with shoes. He looked merely five or six years old but he gave a little different kind of vibe. Not too powerful but not too weak either.
