(Victor's POV)

"What do you mean?" Roger says, clearly angered.

"I ask only to keep Athena and/or you and your wife away from harm. Out of the many cases I have dealt with, there have been cases where people have had enemies in the past who wanted revenge even after decades. Your daughter seems to be clueless in this regard. If you do have an idea, letting us know will only speed up the case" Z speaks.

Roger sighs and runs a hand over his face, distressed. "Look young man, My daughter is the only heir to a very prosperous business and there is no cousin or relative of any kind that can replace her after she takes the reigns from my hand. There has been no family feud in the past or any known enemies. Of course, there are competitors in the business, but I really don't think they will go to such extents. So, I am really clueless. My family is everything to me, and I will do anything in my power to keep them safe. I will cooperate by all means."

Z gives me a worried look and mindlinks – He looks and behaves like a typical father- you know the over protective type. He and Luna's mom were surely in denial that their daughter was targeted. But it doesn't look like he is hiding anything.

I link him back - We should keep an eye on them Z, I don't want to risk Athena's life. But yeah, I agree, maybe he is just stressed and doesn't want Athena to have a boyfriend.

Z chuckles at the last part and closes the link.

"And there maybe something, but it's clearly idiotic and useless..."Roger starts, looking unsure.

"Anything is better than nothing, it may give us a direction" Z says hopefully.

"Yeah, I don't know about the direction part. But just remember that I am not crazy when you hear me out." Roger says and it makes us more curious.

"So, my Grandfather Augustus Crimson, used to warn me when I was a child. He said that he was the last in our line to have siblings and everyone in our line, henceforth will be a single child only. And yes, it has been that way, my father was an only child, I have no siblings and the same goes with Athena. But what creeped me out was he said that he knew someone close to our family, who-who saw our future and-and- said that if a girl child was born in our line we must take utmost care of her wellbeing, that we must protect her from the dangers of the world at all costs or our line will seize to exist. And made me promise that I will follow his words in case I have a daughter or if I have a son, then I must pass on the information to him. I think it is just some old man's ramble, but the conviction with which he told me those things gets me worried. So, even if I don't believe in foretelling and stuff, we are over protective of our daughter, just in case, coz, it's better to be safe than sorry. It doesn't help that Athena wants to lead an independent life. And now- this situation, I can't believe that my grandpa may have been right." He ends with a sigh.

"Mr. Crimson, you may have just given us a clear direction by opening up. Thank you and your room has been arranged, the maid will direct you." I say to him.

I turn to look at Athena who is now looking better after chatting with her mom. Z and me decide to look into any information we may get by asking our elders regarding the Crimson family or instances of premonition abilities noticed in humans or if they know if one Augustus Crimson contacted any witch covens we know to foretell his future. It's a lot of work but we have no choice, I will have to personally ask the coven leaders and Z will speak to the elders. I also ask him to extend his background check on the crimson family, up to Augustus.

I go to Athena, when Roger and Ruth crimson turn to leave to their room, when,

"Wait a minute" Roger stops and quickly goes to the window side of the living room, taking long strides.

He looks at the old wooden rocking chair at the corner of the room, and starts inspecting it. What? hasn't this man seen rocking chairs? or is he that old to want that antique piece?

"How? How did you get this chair? It's supposed to be in my attic" Roger stutters, looking at me before turning back to look at the chair more closely.

"Ummm, what?" I say not sure what to say.

"This chair is my grandfather Augustus Crimson's chair. How did you get it?" he asks and I feel like my tongue won't move.

"Roger come on; I don't think it's your grandpa's chair. Why will it be in their house? Maybe it's just a similar replica or a twin chair" Ruth says.

"No Ruth it is my grandpa's, I know it." He turns to me, "Victor my grandpa used to sit in this very chair and told me all those things I just told you, these engravings I will never forget them."

"Told him what?" Ruth asks and Roger starts to explain to her.

Athena tugs my hand and I turn to look at her,

"Victor, that was the chair I sat on in my dream I told you about. I mean I thought that I must have seen it while I came here first and then dreamed about it. I think it's a little weird to be a coincidence that my father would recognize the exact chair... And I haven't told my parents about the nightmares, so it's a little creepy that he walked straight to it... I told you about the engraving too right, but it never occurred to me to check if the engraved letter 'C' was actually there on its arm rest for real. Should I?" She drags before continuing, "Now you're thinking me and my family are mental, aren't you?" she says sheepishly.

"I'd never think that about you, especially not after, you not calling me crazy for shifting into you know what" I tell her earnestly before I pull her with me to have a look at the armrest.
