(Victor's POV)

It's as if everything is in slow motion – the Rambo knife spiraling its way towards Athena, getting dangerously close to her, and she stands helpless - frozen in her place, having a damn vision, not realizing that the dagger is just a foot away from stabbing her. I jump forward and I am a few inches away from deflecting the knife, when Roger pulls Athena away from the path of attack of the dagger and the knife hits the pillar on the porch.

Thank God! I am so glad he pulled Athena away from the line of attack. I could have deflected it before it hurt her, but the sooner she is out of danger the better it is. I have never been so relaxed. We have won the premonition situation. Now I have to wrap things up.

I immediately shift my stance and land on my paws facing Athena who is now sitting on the floor, still having the vision. From the corner of my eyes, I can see our female warriors attacking Lucius effectively, and our male warriors who came with me are about to join them. But Lucius is too strong for all of them put together and is quick to throw them left and right, walking right towards us.

I look at Athena once more to ensure that she isn't hurt in anyway. Her parents and my mom, along with few more guards are flocking around her. She is safe, and unharmed. I promised to Athena, that I will not let Lucius get anywhere near her, and that is what I am going to do – protect her and dispose him off.

I growl and make my way towards Lucius who is walking towards me with rage, not bothered by the attacks of my warriors. I link my warriors to back off.

I take a leap and slash my claws at his face, using my weight against him, which causes a deep gash on his face, that starts healing too quick for my liking. He tries to get hold of me, but I turn and use my hind legs to kick him hard in the shin of his legs, which makes him buckle and groan in pain. His legs may have fractured. But I don't care, it will heal quickly anyway.

I have pictured the possibilities of this situation a million times in my head. I had thought of all the offense or defense positions he may use and already planned my attack on him. My only worry before, was what if I couldn't get to Athena before the dagger hits her. But now, the situation is done with and Athena is safe. So, I will take my time with Lucius and give him the treatment he deserves.

He tries to get hold of my throat and jaws to snap my neck. But I had already anticipated the move, so I turn my head and bite his wrist, to make him loosen his hold, but not hard enough to severe his wrist. When he loses his grip, I let my wolf take complete control of the wolf form I am in and my wolf, pushes him down and lunges at his neck, going for the kill, when,

"Victor! Wait!" my dad calls me and I slow down in time. I didn't kill Lucius but I still have my jaws locked on Lucius' neck. One wrong move and he knows I won't hesitate to break it.

"We need to know how he got in" my dad says as he gets near me. My wolf fights for control. It is too tempting to go for the kill. But my dad is right, the last thing I need now is traitors in my pack. I don't think anyone in my pack would have helped him, even if they had I highly doubt if it would have been done willingly. He could have blackmailed anyone, similar to how he got Max to report to his minions.

I throw him a few feet away, my teeth scraping the skin on his neck, leaving a bloody trail. But he is alive. He won't continue being alive for long though. It has stopped raining now, and I see some of the pack warriors grabbing him and tying him to a nearby tree. He has no fight left in him. But his eyes still burn with rage. A witch goes to him and sprinkles some potion on him, making him scream out in pain.

"This will keep him tied to the tree." She tells and pours the more potion around the tree.

I shift and someone hands me a sweat pant that I quickly change into and rinse my mouth with some water to remove the blood, as I watch her chanting some spells. Z and my other warriors are back as well, a few of them are moving Lucius' men into the pack dungeons, where they will remain for a day or two, before we ship them off to the Council.

"How did you get in?" I ask Lucius

He laughs "Its not like you will leave me alive if I told you..." and before he finishes, Z punches him hard in the face, cracking his already bloody nose.

"You are right. But we could make your death more painful if you don't answer" Z spits out.

"I am an ancient being. No new age magic can affect me. Once your men were distracted enough, I sneaked in." Lucius sneers.

I have heard enough. I link one of the warriors to bring the wooden stake we had prepared.

"You don't understand. Athena must not live. No one with premonition abilities should live. They will ruin the world." He screams like the mad man he is and tries to lunge forward, but hisses in pain and backs off, as soon as the witch pours some more potion on him.

(Athena's POV)

God save me just this once...

I see flashes of white, and I see the same village and the killing of the female vampire... Her mate – Lucius - killing the hunter and crying... The same thing... White light... There is a sudden shift in the surroundings like last time. And I see snow everywhere, Snow covered mountains all around me and there is a small group of ladies about my age, skiing. All of a sudden, boulders of snow start falling, initiating a chain reaction, causing an avalanche... Screams... The ladies split in different directions to escape the disaster. And my focus shifts to one woman. She desperately tries to get to the sides of the mountain she is skiing on. I can see that her aim is to get under a differently shaped ledge that is a few meters away from her. The bottom of the weirdly shaped ledge resembles a cave. And she skis faster to get to the bottom/underside of the ledge, while the snow chases and tries to engulf her. She narrowly misses from getting caught in the avalanche and skids into the cave like structure under the ledge successfully. The avalanche passes us after a good minute's time, while she stays sheltered, unharmed by the snow. She struggles to breathe and removes her helmet and goggles and continues to wheeze. Wait a minute... She is the female vampire that got killed in the hut. Lucius's dead mate. But apparently, she isn't dead. Maybe, she is reborn. Before my mind settles... I hear a low growl. She immediately turns to look at the source of the sound, which comes from inside the cave. A pair of green eyes stare back, she scrambles backwards on her hands still facing the creature. A snow leopard with a fluffy-tail (I knew it!) walks cautiously towards her, as if it will pounce on her any second. Before we know it, the leopard pounces and she screams. But the leopard gets thrown a few feet away from her by a man in a black coat - Lucius – He hisses at the leopard displaying his fangs, the leopard does the same, but it runs away from them... White light... I see Lucius and his mate under an arch made of red roses saying 'I DO'... White light...

I take a deep breath trying to come out of the vision. Lucius has a second chance with his mate. He can save her this time... I open my eyes and it is too dark and wet everywhere. I am sitting on the ground, my parents and Victor's mom looking at me worriedly.

"Are you okay Athena?" my mom asks and I nod.

I remember the scenario I was in before I got the vision and immediately look down to see if I am stabbed.

"Your dad pulled you away from the dagger, before it could hit you, Athena. You were not harmed" Victor's mom says and I only manage to nod again.

I squint my eyes, adjusting to the darkness, and I see Lucius beaten up and tied to a tree. Victor, his dad, Z and several warriors standing around the tree, as a witch throws some potion over Lucius and he screams in agony. One of the warriors brings a wooden stake and hands it over to Victor.

Oh my god! Victor is going to kill Lucius. But his mate is reborn. I need to stop them. Before history repeats itself.

Victor, takes the stake and aims it at Lucius, and I finally find my voice.

"STOP!" I scream.
