(Victor's POV)
I go back to our floor after some more planning about the finer details. I knock on the door and Athena opens it, and I get inside.
"And, that is our cue to leave" my mom says and gets up and leaves with Athena's mom.
"How was the day?" I ask Athena
"It was great... we watched a movie and ate popcorn and ice-cream. I missed you though..." she drags
I pull her in for a hug, "Me too love"
She groans suddenly and I ask her "What happened?"
"Nothing... my head's been throbbing for some time now. More like a migraine. Ouch!" she bends over in pain holding her head.
I lift her and rush to the bed making her sit with pillows as a backrest. I link the pack doctor to come as soon as possible and she is on the way.
"Vic- Victor, I am seeing flashes of light. Urgh!" she groans in pain.
"I have asked the doctor to come. Let me get you some water." I tell her worried.
(Athena's POV)
The pain becomes more intense and all I see is white light. All of a sudden, I see a village burning and I enter a hut, where I see a human hunter killing a female vampire with a wooden stake and another male vampire storms into the hut and kills the hunter instantly and hugs the female vampire, sobbing and the woman dies, her last words being "Mate"
I gasp, as the vision disappears. I had a vision, this was the first time I had a vision while I am awake. The vision was the same as what Agatha described as her vision in that letter. I hear Victor calling me, he was shaking me.
"Athena, are you okay. Athena? The doctor is on the way. Here drink this" he hands me a glass of water and looks worried.
I gulp down the water and he asks me "Are you hurting too much, shall we go to the hospital, the doctor's on the way... You just zoned out in pain, you were looking at the sheets and I couldn't get you to concentrate."
"No Victor, its not hurting anymore. I had a vision. The vision that Agatha had... The one that she explained in her letter that caused all the trouble with Lucius, I had that vision. But it was in the past wasn't it. How can I get a vision about the past?" I tell hurriedly.
He inhales deeply, "Explain the vision"
And I do, in detail. After a minute or two, a doctor arrives with a nurse, they check me and tell me I am fine. We just concluded that if I get visions while I am awake, I will be having headaches. She gave me some mild painkillers, in case it repeats, but I doubt it will work.
Victor has been linking his parents and Z about my vision and they will be asking the witches about it. Any information can help at this point. Maybe I got that vision because Lucius is after me now. So, it has to be about it.
The witches responded shortly after, that, we can never tell surely about visions, but if the vision means anything then it will repeat and may have extra details next time. But all of it will happen only when necessary. Overall, their answers were vague and I have to be more observing next time I have a vision.
In the next few hours, the same vision appears twice, along with the throbbing pain. No other extra detail was there though. I am worried why it keeps repeating. The painkillers, like I assumed are not helping.
"Victor..." I whimper in pain as another headache starts and he comes and lies beside me, holding me tight and kisses my forehead repeatedly and to my surprise the headache vanishes.
"Victor, you kissed the pain away" I tell him shocked.
"Great, now you won't have to suffer in pain anymore" Victor tells me with a sad smile
"But if you kiss my visions away, what if we miss any important detail?" I ask him.
"Your comfort and health are most important. We will win with or without the visions. I won't allow you to go through pain repeatedly, for a clue that we may never get" he tells me and I sigh.
After some light dinner, we go to bed. With hope that my visions won't haunt me again.
