CHAPTER 11

(Victor's POV)

I woke up when I felt Athena's hand move away. I wanted to hold her and she isn't going anywhere. I try to move. Crap it hurts like hell. I felt anger rising, when Z and the doctor were telling me to relax. The doctor wanted me to shift to reduce the blood loss, but how can I, Athena will freak out. I mind link Z about this. He mind links me back that he will make sure Athena will not leave my side.

"Alpha, listen to me! shift now" the doctor was yelling. I was unsure and looked into Athena's eyes. I don't want to die. I want to live with her, love her, hold her in my arms. But what if she leaves me? Shit I should have been more careful.

"Luna please ask him to shift, the bullet may have hit his heart, and we don't have much time." the doctor told Athena.

(Athena's POV)

I didn't understand what the doctor was telling. Shift into what? What did he mean by saying that only his wolf can help him? I look at him totally dumbstruck. Was he insane? Z comes to my side "Luna, I will give you all the answers you want, but before that do you want him to die?" he pointed to Victor, who was looking at me. I shook my head NO. "Good, then ask him to shift, just say the words and save him" he told me.

I look at Victor, he was losing a lot of blood. I give him a weak smile and whispered "Shift, Victor." He nods and replies "Stay with me, Love"

Love? He said it again!

I give him a weak smile, not knowing what else to do and he closes his eyes.

I heard a bone crack and I removed my hand from Victor's grip. Z was holding me now and moved me a little backwards. I heard him whisper into my ears "Luna be strong, do you know anything about werewolves?" I look at him with fear. I hear more bones crack and Victor's body was morphing into a wolf like creature.

OH MY GOD!

Soon enough, in the place of Victor was his torn clothes, on top of which lay a huge black wolf that was hurt and breathing heavily. I think its unconscious. The doctor and the police were lifting and putting the wolf on the stretcher.

Z was telling me something and got me to stand. But my mouth felt dry and I felt my world zone out and I fell to the ground.

Black. Everything went black just like the color of his wolf.
