CHAPTER 19

Nyx has not seen Azrael since that night. A week has passed and she has not seen him around.

Nagalakad-lakad siya sa club hanggang sa tumigil siya sa Drunk and Sober Cafe.

Mag-o-order na sana siya nang may tumabi sa kanya at inalok siya ng libreng pagkain. Agad naman siyang yumuko dahil naalala niyang isang prinsipe pala ito.

"You don't have to do that, Sister. I'm not a royalty here, remember?" Rizky smiled and so did his green aquamarine eyes.

Nang makaupo sila ay naiilang pa rin siya rito. He was a prince after all.

"Am I that intimidating? Ang friendly ko kaya."

She smiled. "Isa ka pa ring prinsipe."

"Not here I hope. Call me by my name like the others. Magtatampo na ako sa iyo, Sister."

"Okay. Sir Rizky for you then."

Ngumiti ito. "Ah...music to my ears."

Mabilis namang naiserve ang pagkain nila.

"Hindi mo yata kasama iyung girlfriend mo."

Umiling ito. "I don't have a girlfriend. You see, the royals doesn't have much choice in that department. If you've seen Caden, he's already betrothed. Wala naman siyang interest sa relationships kaya walang kaso sa kanya. You're probably talking about Dani, my personal assistant."

"Ikaw ba? Meron na?"

He shrugged. "For sure yeah...it's a complicated story."

"But you have interests in relationships hmm?"

He looked at her warily. "You can read minds."

Natawa siya. "Hindi ko alam kung anong pinapakalat ng mga tao sa club na ito pero kung ano man iyon, nandito lang naman ako bilang kaibigan. Magbibigay ako ng advice parang normal na kaibigan."

"If you were in place, kapag nagkagusto ka sa isang tao pero hindi siya katanggap-tanggap sa pamilya at bansa mo, would you still love her?"

"Hmm...that's difficult. Sa tingin ko kasi, kapag royalty ka, you give everything to the country you're serving. Madalas ay wala ka talagang choice." Sinulyapan niya ito. "By chance...are you in love with a non-royalty?"

"Our family go way back. The king's last prince is betrothed to the only princess of a certain family. That's me and a certain princess. Pero matagal ng patay ang prinsesang ipapakasal sa akin. My parents are looking for other prospects. To answer your question, yes. I like someone that's out of my league. Not in my same class. A commoner. A servant."

Tumimo sa isip niya ang sinabi nito. Could it be that the servant he's talking about is his personal assistant?

"Have you opened it up to your parents?"

Umiling ito.

"Just try. Baka ma-persuade mo sila o matulungan ka nila sa problema mo. Does she know?"

Natawa ito at umiling. "Kung may tao mang sobrang manhid, siya na iyon."

Tinapik niya ang kamay nito. "Malay mo pareho kayo ng nararamdaman."

Rizky just smiled at her. He also offered to walk with her going back to the church.

Lumingon-lingon siya habang naglalakad sila. Mukhang wala pa rin si Azrael.

"Are you looking for someone?"

"Ah si Sir Azrael. Matagal-tagal ko na siyang hindi nakita. Medyo mabigat ata ang pinagdaraanan niya noong minsan. Nag-aalala lang ako baka napaano na."
