CHAPTER 41

Nyx has never been happier. Who knew that being in a relationship could be this fun?

Two years went like a blur. Kapag nagkikita sila ni Azrael parang first date pa rin nila. She's always excited to see him.

They usually see each other during weekends. He's busy with work and travelling to and from Manila. She was busy in the farm and managing their research project.

Susunduin siya ni Azrael ng hapon na iyon para mag-camping sa burol. Naghahanda na siya ngayon ng babaunin nila.

Napatingin siya sa kasamahan nila nang tawagin siya nito. Mayroon daw bisita sa flower farm na hinahanap siya.

Naisip naman niya na baka isa sa mga turista o supplier ng bulaklak iyon. She's the one who usually interacts with the visitors.

Mabilis siyang pumunta sa flower farm at nakita ang isang babae. She stood in the middle of the farm, her hair being blown by the wind.

"Uhm, excuse me?" Untag niya rito.

Lumingon ang babae. Napatitig siya rito. Her hair looked way longer than the last time she saw her.

She smiled at her. Parang nag-iba ang aura nito.

"Amara?"

"The one and the only." Sabi naman nito.

Lumapit siya rito at niyakap ito. "Tagal nating hindi nagkita."

"It was a long time. Look, the flowers have bloomed. Ang gaganda nila."

"Oo nga eh. Inalagaan talaga namin iyan para kapag nakita mo ulit, magiging masaya ka naman."

"They are beautiful."

"Kailan ka pa pala bumalik? Tagal mong nawala."

"Kahapon lang actually. Bukas pa ako babalik sa club. I had to go to my farm in Amsterdam. Natagalan pero nandito naman na ako uli."

"For good ka na ba rito?"

"I am actually planning to just finish my commitments here. Carrie in particular, wants me to organize the parties for this year before she lets me go. I think I'll stay in Amsterdam for good. My farm needs me. Of all people, ikaw ang makakaintindi sa akin."

Napatango siya. She badly wants to ask what happened to her and Chael but maybe now is not the time to bring it up.

"Ganoon ba? Malulungkot nanaman si Tabi niyan."

"She can go to my farm if she wants to. But yeah, I'll miss the Philippines. Babalik-balik naman ako."

"Pwede namang hindi mo sagutin pero...bakit aalis ka na ng Pilipinas?"

Huminga ito ng malalim. "It's a long story. But things just didn't quite work for me here. I was looking for a sanctuary. I thought I found it." Tumingin ito sa kanya. "You look happy. Azrael must be really taking good care of you."

Tumango siya. "We take care of each other."

"That's...nice. Buti naman at tumino iyon. I wonder if Thunder and the others have changed."

Natawa siya at umiling. "Mukhang hindi. Bawat dalaw ko sa club iba-iba ang date nila."

"I miss the club. Lalo na iyung mga kolokoy na iyon."

"Then why go? Bakit hindi ka na lang mag-stay?"

"It won't do my heart any good. Para saan ang dalawang taon na pag-alis ko kung matatalo nanaman ako."
