As much as he wants to stay and talk to Nyx, Azrael had to go to Manila again. He was scheduled to talk with some employees and supervisors. Marami pa ring problema sa kumpanya ng ama at malaking parte doon ang mga kulang na benepisyo ng mga empleyado.

"Naku Sir, maraming bumalik nang malaman na may bagong management na. Sabi nila, unti-untiin na lang daw na bawiin ang mga kulang na benepisyo."

He leaned back on his chair after the union leader talked.

"That's good."

"Gusto raw nila kayo makilala para makapagpasalamat."

"Do they really have to? I'm not really good with talking with people unless it's business."

"Sige na Sir. Masaya lang talaga sila na makukuha na uli nila ang napaghirapan nila."

Bumuntong-hininga siya at tumayo. He removed his coat and folded his sleeves. He doesn't want to appear too intimidating or bossy.

Nang makarating sila sa function hall ay tumahimik ang mga tao. They just watched him walk to the podium.

"Ah...magandang umaga po sa inyo. Ako po si Azrael Iglesias. Ako po ang anak ng dating may-ari ng Iglesias Corp.. Gusto ko pong magpasalamat at pagbibigyan niyo kami na makabawi sa mga pagkukulang sa inyo noon."

"Umaasa po talaga kami Sir na maibibigay ang nararapat sa amin."

"Sana po ay hindi kayo katulad ng ama ninyo."

Nagpasalamat siya kapagkuwan ay bumaba na rin ng podium. That's the best he can do.

Nagulat siya nang kamayan siya ng mga taong nadaraanan niya. He felt like a politician campaigning for votes.

Back in his office, he began working nonstop again. Gusto lang niyang makabalik sa club.

He knew their conversation was left hanging. They almost kissed! He almost forgot himself. How he not? She looked so pretty and beautiful under the moonlight like she's always been.

How he loved that woman.

He stopped signing the papers. He loves her. He loves Nyx. How could he not know that?

She crept to his heart without him knowing. He leaned on his chair and smiled. He loved Nyx.

As soon as he landed on the airstrip, dumiretso siya sa simbahan. He'll tell her how he feels. He doesn't care if she likes him too or not. He just wants her to know that he loves her.

The church doors were open but she was not there when he came. When he knocked on the cottage, there was no one answering. Is she somewhere else?

Pumunta siya sa cafe at sa Greenhouse pero wala ito. Kahit sa grocery at flower shop ay wala ito. Where could she be?

Habang pabalik sa sasakyan ay nakasalubong niya si Tabi.

"Hey, have you seen Nyx?"

Lumungkot ito. "Si Sister ba? Umalis na siya, Sir Azrael. Ilang araw na po."

"Umalis?" It sounded more like a statement than a question.

Tumango ito. "Natanong ko rin si Sir Winter. Sabi niya kumuha na si Sister ng clearance noong minsan."

Fuck. Talaga ba?

Tinawagan niya si Winter. He needed to confirm. She gone for a few days already.

He sat in his car for a few minutes before driving to the church.

For the first time as long as he can remember, he never entered the church. Ngayon lang ulit.
