CHAPTER 32

Azrael woke up and he groaned immediately. His back and neck are aching. Sa sofa na lang siya natulog dahil hindi niya maiwan si Nyx.

He noticed the blanket on his body so his eyes flew to the bed. Wala na si Nyx sa kama. A delicious smell filled his nose so he instantly knew where she was.

He folded the blanket before going down to the kitchen. As expected, Nyx was already there cooking something up.

Nang makababa ay nakaharap ito sa kalan at naghahalo ng niluluto nito. She looked cute wearing his shirt which was oversized on her. 

Her legs are in full show. Hers were not slim like some of the women he dated. She has round and muscled legs probably from all the walking she did in the mountains. 

Her hair was held together with a chopstick. Some loose strands are hanging on the sides of her face.

He liked it though. 

Tumikhim siya para na rin pigilan ang sarili niya sa mga iniisip niya.

Lumingon ito sa kanya at ngumiti. "Gising ka na pala. Tamang-tama luto na ito. Umupo ka na."

He sat on his bar stool as she served him breakfast. May ginisang itlog at ampalaya, bacon, at sinangag. May mga prutas din itong hinanda at mainit na tsokolate.

Umupo ito sa tabi niya kasama ang plato nito. Nilingon siya nito nang hindi niya ginalaw ang pagkain niya.

"Ayaw mo ba?" Tanong nito.

"I haven't had breakfast with someone in a long time."

He lived alone for a long time. He was able to share his breakfast with himself only.

"Gusto ko lang din magpasalamat sa iyo dahil sa pagsundo sa akin kahapon. Sana hindi na ako naglibot lalo na at wala akong kasama."

"We can go around the city today if you want."

"May meeting tayo 'di ba?"

"I had it cancelled. I figured you wanted to rest for today after what happened."

She sighed and smiled. "Salamat. Ikaw ba...hindi ka ba busy?"

He shook his head. "I freed my schedule today."

"P-para sa akin?"

He smiled and started to eat. "Let's have breakfast and we'll have a proper tour today hmm?"

She smiled and nodded. 

Natuwa siya na mukhang okay na ito. If not, she's hiding it well. Other than that, he is more than happy to see her happy.

"Where do you want to go?"

Umiling si Nyx. Wala naman siyang alam na pwedeng pasyalan sa siyudad. "Wala naman akong alam dito. Nahahatid ko lang mga kapatid ko noon pero hanggang doon lang iyon."

He nodded. Napako yata ang mata niya sa kamay nito sa steering wheel. She has always watched him drive before. Hindi niya alam pero gusting-gusto niyang tignan ang kamay nito.

"Sorry you had to see the bad side of the city last night. It's not always like that. This big city has a lot more to offer. Good ones."

"Dapat hindi na ako nagpagabi. Ayaw ko lang kasing mag-stay sa hotel."

"That's fine. May mga parks naman dito na pwedeng puntahan. Sarado pa kasi ang mga malls. We can do that later."

She smiled. Mukhang sasamahan siya ni Azrael buong araw. She appreciated the gesture. Baka gusto nitong pagaanin ang loob niya dahil sa nangyari kahapon.
