CHAPTER 34

The next morning, she wore her gray pencil skirt and an off-white sleeveless satin blouse. Inayos din niya ang kulot niyang buhok para hindi iyon nakalugay lang.

Napailing siya sa sarili. Since when did she want to look pretty for a man? 

Her heels gave her some additional height so she's not as petite looking as she actually is. Nang makita na niya ang text ni Azrael na nasa lobby na ito ay kinalma niya pa ang sarili bago lumabas.

Para siyang high school na pupunta sa prom kasama ang crush niya. She actually missed this feeling. Iyung kilig para sa isang tao. Pagbibigyan na niya ang sarili habang nakakasama niya ito. Hindi man siya ang babaeng gusto nito, at least nahayaan niya ang sarili na maging masaya kasama ito.

When she went out of the elevator, hinanap agad niya ito. He was leaning on his car just outside the lobby. Noon pa man ay lagi naman na itong naka-suit. Bakit ba guwapong-guwapo siya rito?

"Good morning." Sabi niya nang makalapit siya rito.

"Good..." Napatingin ito sa kanya mula ulo hanggang paa. Admiration was evident in his eyes. She instantly felt proud of herself. "...morning."

"Tara na?"

Pinagbuksan siya nito ng pinto bago pumunta sa driver's side.

"You look great." Sabi nito habang nagmamaneho.

"Ngayon lang ito. Business meeting kasi ang pupuntahan ko. Hindi ko naman ito nasusuot sa bukid."

"You look great on anything for sure."

"At kailan ka pa natutong mambola, Mr. Iglesias? I doubt if you needed to woo girls with that."

"What do you think of me? I know how to give compliments you know."

"Oo na."

Inabutan siya nito ng kape. "I dropped by a cafe before heading to your hotel."

"Thank you."

Traffic was not bad that morning. Not that she was feeling bad about it but if you are with Azrael, what's two hours?

Nang makarating sila sa opisina ay kinumusta siya ni Clyde. Todo paumanhin pa ito dahil sa nangyari sa kanya. Sabi naman niya ay wala naman itong kasalanan. Marami na itong nagawa para maasikaso siya habang naroon siya.

Mukhang si Azrael ang magpe-present ng araw na iyon. Good luck naman sa kanya.

"So this is our plan for the next 90 days. We need to see how the farm basically operates. I think this will also help establish our relationship with the owners and the cooperative. Within that 90 days as well, we'll set up the location for the seedlings as they'll arrive in about a month. We still have time to prepare within that timeframe.

I know we have a core team for this but I want to overlook this project personally. It's my brainchild so it's important to me. The core team needs to be in the farm. I have already appointed some of you. Other members would have to stay here and monitor the integration of the farm with our goods."

Nagtaas ng kamay si Clyde. "So tatlong buwan po tayo doon Sir?"

Azrael nodded. "Yes. You can go home every two weeks or if you have an emergency."

Mukhang excited naman ang mga miyembro na makakasali.

"Nakapunta na kami sa farm nila Miss Nyx. Sobrang ganda at babait nila. Ang ganda pa ng view at ang lamig!"

Natawa siya. "Salamat. Sigurado akong mag-eenjoy kayong lahat sa project na ito."

Napapalakpak naman silang lahat nang matapos ang presentation ni Azrael.
