(Beware the Time Change)

•Saylor's POV•

"I swear, history will always be my least favorite class." Emma groans as her and I enter the lunch room.
"Look at Braeden over there, with Kayden, Issac, Kyle, and Mason." I stare at their little round table of 'the popular guys'. The ones every girl is dying to get with.

Braeden found his dad, and once Marcus found out about Braeden dropping out, he re-enrolled him, along with hiring a tutor and he picked up starting with the rest of our class, as a senior, even though he never finished his junior year.

Emma and Kayden were still dating, but they were more distant now than ever. Kayden seemed to be drifting away from the boy he once was and is now more like Braeden.
Braeden was known as the boy trying to get in everyone's pants, along with everyone else in his group except for Kayden, well at least as far as we knew.

"What do you think they talk about during their little circle?"
"Probably Maddy."
We roll out eyes at the mention of Maddy's name.
Once she came back, Paige started hanging out with Jaxx, because Maddy left them both, hoping that Kayden would fall head over heels for her again. But so far, he hadn't.
Paige still didn't know about Maddy being the one, but apparently everyone else knew but her.
Braeden has completely gone off the deep end. Fortunately, the tale that he had joined a gang was just a rumor, but I really didn't care about him anymore.
He left me at the beach with nothing but a dress, heels, and a prepaid dinner.
Rylynn had to come pick me up so that Mom wouldn't know, as she already hated Braeden, but if she found out I went to the beach with him shed hate us both.
Rylynn picked me up, but we didn't talk the whole ride home. I was too mad to speak.

"Here comes Issac." Emma says debating whether of not to get up.
Isaac was probably the nicest one out of all of them, but he still likes to get in between the sheets and leave a girl.
He sits at the table with us, putting the bar i between his legs, looking at me. "Hey."
"Hey Isaac."
"Well, you know how homecoming is coming up, I was wondering if you'd come to homecoming with me? No pun intended."
"Sure Isaac."
"Come on it'll be fun, wait. You said yes?"
"Yeah, I said yes."
"Great." He smiles and walks back over to his table. I'd like to see the look Braeden has right now.

"You said yes?"
"I would've felt bad turning him down, and besides, I'm curious. I've never been to a dance. Braeden always said, 'they weren't his thing.' Whatever. I'm going."
"You're going to his game too, right?"
"Game?"
"Yeah, he's the QB. The guys dates always go to watch the game before, then they go at dressed, and go have dinner, before going to the dance."
"Sounds stressful." I sigh, picking up my phone.
"What are you doing? Are you canceling?"
"No." I look up at her, then back down at my phone, I'm gonna call him and see what color I need to wear."
"You're the girl, you decide. He coordinates to you. All tuxes look the same, anyways."
"Are you going with Kayden?"
"Yeah. But I feel like he doesn't really want to go, like he's dragging himself there for me."
"Well at least he's going. Braeden never went to any of them."
"He's a loser."
The bells rings and we file off to our classes. Next is AP Math.
I sit down and notice someone staring at me from the seat next to me. Braeden.
"How did you get in this class?"
"Aw Butter Cup, it must've been the two months on tutoring for seven hours a day."
"Whatever, I'm here to learn, not to make conversation with you."
"I'm glad you're not bitter about our breakup." He says smirking.
"Don't you have someone's bed to be in right now?" I ask rolling my eyes.

"Which store should we go to first." I ask Emma, walking around the mall.
"Let's go to that place over there, that's a pretty dress in the window." She points to a little boutique and we walk over to the store.

After about trying on about a total of 750 dressed all day, I finally decided on a coral colored dress that went down to my feet and Emma got a light blue dress that was floor length.
"I'm I'm in desperate need of Starbucks." I groan as we walk into the mall Starbucks.
"My feet hurt." Emma moans, dragging herself into Starbucks.
We finish all of our shopping and drive to my house.

(The Next Morning)
"We should've went dress shopping on Saturday, not on a Sunday. I never thought I could be so exhausted from shopping." Emma says staring up at the ceiling.
"I know. I'm gonna go jump in the shower." I grab my phone and take it into the bathroom, plugging it into my speaker.

I finish and grab my phone, scrolling through my pictures. I drop my phone on the carpet and close my eyes, trying to unsee the past.
"Are you okay?" Emma asks giving me a really strange look.
"No I'm not." I quickly shut off my phone and get dressed in my clothes.

(At School)

"History gets lamer everyday, I swear that teacher hates me." Emma had history right before lunch, so I got the liberty of listening to her complain everyday.
We sit at our table and Isaac sits next to me, wrapping his arm around me. "Did you pick of a dress?"
"Yes. After about trying on 1000 of them."
"Well? What am I needing to wear?"
"Just wear black. I don't want to give away my dress." I smile and he laughs. Which by the way was absolutely adorable.
"Okay. Okay."
I look ahead and see Braeden staring at Isaac's arm, clenching his jaw.
I'm gonna have some fun with him. I kiss Isaac's cheek and he kisses my forehead. Take that Braeden.
