Taylor was in Nevada for a fan's wedding, she had decided to show up and surprise them after they reached out on social media. Things were weird now, she felt like a lot of hate had been coming her way on her socials, and now that she and Adam had split up, she was out with Tom for the first time.

Adam wasn't happy that Taylor had been seen dancing with another man, and they fought and fought until they broke completely and decided to separate. It had only been a few days since they announced it, and she thought that Tom was a welcome escape that maybe felt right for a change.

He had suggested they go out for dinner, and they drove around the town for a while until they found a place that didn't look too bad. It had good reviews, live musical entertainment and it was dark enough in the photos that they likely could eat in peace with all eyes mainly on the stage, sort of a dive bar vibe but upperclass.

"Well, this is good, innit?" Tom asked once they were seated, a relatively low lit booth tucked away in the corner. The hostess had given them privacy as they asked, but they still had a nice view of the stage and weren't close to the washrooms so there didn't seem to be a lot of traffic walking past them.

"Yeah," Taylor smiled while tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, "This reminds me of my days at the Bluebird Cafe, where Scott found me. It's kind of weird to think that so many people are doing the same thing, just trying to get their name out there."

"Yes, yeah. Maybe it will be quite good. Do they display anything about it? I don't see a information board, hmm," he leaned forward and peered around, his forearms resting against the table.

"I don't think so. They probably have a different person every night or maybe it's so you kinda get what you get. Who knows, but I'm interested in it."

Tom smiled at her, and they were brought menus and ordered long before the performer walked on stage to the grand piano, adjusted the microphone properly and inhaled, "Hello there, ladies and gentlemen, I hope you're having a lovely evening tonight at The Bowery. Don't forget that there's a special today on the filet mignon. I'm Jo Collins, I'll be keeping you company this evening. Feel free to bring up requests, I'll get to them after my first few songs. Thank you."

It wasn't Jo's first time doing this apparently, because she spoke with a lot of confidence and seemed to have that memorized at the tip of her tongue, still adding in some kind facial expressions.

Her fingers moved gracefully against the keys, and Taylor had zoned in quickly. That was the same girl she had spilt the drink on, and she had the same cocktail sitting in front of her now.

It was an original song, Taylor couldn't even find anything that would have made it better. Holy shit, she loved it.

"Taylor?" Tom asked for probably the fifth time, finally catching her attention. She turned her head and gave him her blue eyed focus.

"Yes? Sorry, I know that girl. I really like her song."

"It's alright. I was just going to ask if you wouldn't mind if I went to the bathroom. Are you okay with me leaving you here for a moment alone?" He asked. Always a gentleman, taking into account that she didn't bring security with her because he had said they'd keep it low key and stay close together.

"Yeah," she gave a weak smile, "I'm okay here. Come back soon."

"Always," he replied, he stood up and slid from the booth. The actor then proceeded to bend over slightly, place a kiss on her forehead and head towards the other end of the restaurant, keeping his head low.
