Please no threats <3

Taylor stretched her legs out with a small groan, her eyes still closed as she feared opening them would tell her body she needed to be awake when in reality she was praying for another quiet day with Jo in their home, having returned to Nashville for what seemed to be the indefinite future.
Her electrifying blue eyes did open though, and she was met with a softer lighting than the dark they'd fallen asleep in. It must've been after eight that morning, she was surprised Jo was still asleep against her.
The brunette was rolled onto her stomach, leg diagonal right off the bed and hanging down. Her toe was touching Flynn's back as he laid on the floor next to their bed, which Taylor had noticed as she sat up and peered over to silently laugh at how her fiancée had ended up.
The singer looked at the ring on her finger, she couldn't believe it had been over a week since Jo had proposed. It hadn't officially sunk right in yet, she knew what it meant but at the same time, her mind hadn't taken each piece apart to put it all together yet.
She could feel it, the way she was almost indifferent to it when she looked at the ring sometimes. Part of her though, that part of her screamed that maybe she was just comfortable with the idea of what that ring symbolized so there was no reason for that terrifying pang in her chest.
Sometimes.
She didn't need it. She was happy Jo was going to be her wife.
Eventually.
When there wasn't a pandemic and they picked a date and what type of wedding they would have and- Taylor had to stop herself from going down that rabbit hole before she even got off of the king sized bed they'd melted into after a day full of phone meetings in the car on the way back.
Leaning over, she pressed her lips to Jo's head and pulled the covers up over her shoulder, tucking it under her chin before she finally got up and went to make some coffee.
Eventually, she settled into her place at the piano, the coffee mug steaming on the table near her so her favourite part of the day was easily accessible.
Jo was woken up at some point by the gentle playing that only got louder as she walked towards it and smiled. Taylor had put on pink cat pyjamas and the brunette loved recalling how happy she looked when she saw them online and immediately reached for her credit card. She wasn't sure she'd ever seen Taylor move that fast.
"Darling, it's a bit early, isn't it?" Josephine asked, startling the older woman.
Taylor's eyes found her and she shrugged, "I woke up. I thought this was quieter than the electric guitar..."
"I didn't mean the music," Jo stepped over and stole a sip of Taylor's precious coffee, "I meant for you to be up. You're a night owl who works the graveyard shift in your own mind."
"It's just one of those days," Taylor murmured as she avoided Jo's eyes.
"I'll get some breakfast started then," Jo squeezed Taylor's shoulder as she took the coffee mug with her. Taylor caught that and turned as Jo walked out of the room, "I'm bringing you back a refill."
"I fucking love you."
Taylor went into the kitchen with a yawn, a slight sizzling of the frying pan made her realize it was omelettes she was smelling, Jo had cut all of her favourites up mixed them in.
Jo was humming softly to something Taylor couldn't recognize. She set the spatula down and reached her hand out for Taylor to come over, moving them into a playful sway as Jo actually started to sing the words, a mishmash of whatever she thought fit the melody she was on before.
