Taylor was initially shocked by Jo pressing a kiss to her lips, but she instantly surrendered to the slightly dry feeling and moved her mouth accordingly. It was so natural, the way her body knew what to do in fractions of a second, and the hand on her cheek to bring her closer just made it a hundred times better.
It was likely thirty seconds or so before they broke apart, and Jo studied Taylor's face for a reaction before the blonde raised her hand and gestured for her to come closer with her index finger. The brunette did, and Taylor leaned in again and kissed her deeply once more, for far less time, but just long enough to let Jo know it was okay.
"Okay?" Jo whispered, her face close to Taylor's, the older woman nodded, blue eyes crashing against the brown ones once more as they moved together.
Minutes passed, stolen kisses restricted by seat belts. Taylor almost wanted to undo hers and move into the middle seat of the bench, but didn't because she didn't want to come on too strong.
The car slowed and moved back, as to signal it had been placed in park instead of slowed for a streetlight. Jo had finally unbuckled her seatbelt a couple minutes before, her lips placed against Taylor's neck, peppering it with gentle kisses just below her ear.
The blonde placed her hands on Jo's shoulders, pushing her back, "Jo, we're here."
"Mmm," she hummed against Taylor's warm skin, "When we get out of the car, can I still kiss you?"
"We'll see," Taylor guided Jo's face up so their eyes could meet. She got nervous and let them close, pressing her forehead against the brunette's.
Jo closed her own once the blue orbs in front of her escaped, waiting for Taylor to make a move, "Are you just gonna sit here leaning against me, breathing on my face?"
"Yes," Taylor chuckled until she pulled away, blushing in the glow of the street lamp through the window.
Jo opened her door and walked around the car before Taylor could fully undo the seatbelt and gather her purse from the floor of the backseat. The younger singer opened her door for her, "After you."
"So chivalrous," Taylor hummed, taking Jo's hand and stepping out carefully, "Drop the act."
"What?" Jo stepped back, confused at Taylor's sudden change in tone. She hadn't been doing an act, however, she had been doting on a little extra charm because first of all she just kissed Taylor fucking Swift, and second of all, she was staying with Taylor fucking Swift.
"I'm kidding, it's cute," Taylor grinned, pulled out her keys and unlocked the door. Her cold shoulder act left Jo chuckling nervously, trying to catch her breath after a moment of brief panic.
Jo followed Taylor in quietly, slipping her shoes off because the floors looked incredible and she didn't want to get them dirty in the slightest. Her bag was carried in by the driver, as was Taylor's suitcase, and Taylor told her to make herself at home.
"This house is gorgeous," Jo said softly, slipping her coat off and setting it on the row of wall hangers. She took in the furniture, stairway, the decor. It was completely Taylor, except it wasn't even her's.
"My landlord has great taste," Taylor replied, "I can show you to the guest room, and it's like two now, so if you wanna get some sleep and maybe in the morning we can meet at the piano when you're ready and order some breakfast in or something. Or I can cook."
"That sounds good," she picked up her bag and carried it up the stairs. In the room Taylor had assigned her, there was a nice bed that looked softer than a cloud, a wardrobe with some towels on it. An adjoining bathroom, that had soaps and shampoos set out in a basket beside the sink.
