Unapologetically mostly Cats slander :)

December 16th, 2019 / December 20th, 2019

"I'm sorry I'm late!" Jo adjusted the collar of her blouse as she glided towards Taylor and Tree, wearing a blue suit and some black closed toe shoes.

Taylor looked up with a smile, having just finished entering the premiere of her movie Cats, sporting a stunning red dress with floral print and hair that could put a princess to shame.

"You look amazing," Jo murmured against Taylor's cheek, pressing a quick kiss to it as a greeting. She'd had to change in the back of her car on the way to the premiere. Her flight had been delayed due to weather, flying in from her show in Australia that wrapped up the tour for Christmas break the previous day.

"Good to see you," Taylor hummed contently, feeling Jo's arm glide around her waist like she'd been engaged in the conversation the entire time.

"Do you still have interviews to do?" Jo inquired softly as Tree's attention was diverted somewhere else for a moment. Taylor had finished the red carpet pictures already.

Taylor nodded, checking the watch on the brunette's left wrist, "In a couple minutes, we're waiting for them to finish up with James."

"Okay, I'll hang out with my second favourite publicist," Jo chuckled, waving at someone who had waved at her first, "Who is that?"

"I don't know," Taylor followed the person with her blue eyes, "I'm glad you made it, did you sleep on the plane?"

"Yeah, I'll be good until we get to the apartment. Gabriel took Flynn home for me, I'm sure the cats will be excited to see him," the younger singer answered.

Taylor's attention had to turn back to her publicist almost immediately when Tree and her guide through the event told her to get ready for her interview. Jo let go of the blonde and adjusted her collar again, feeling hot with all the people around them.

Jo, breathe. In less than an hour you can sit and watch a movie together and then go home. You have all Christmas to hold her, she will be fine.

Jo never liked letting Taylor out of reach with so many people around. It wasn't like she could bust out some karate if someone did something, and they were constantly surrounded by both event and private security, but Kennedy had messed with her mind and she never quite got over that lingering feeling when out and about.

She stood on the sidelines, a few paces out of camera view and behind the redhead who made gestures behind the camera to warn Taylor when to wrap things up. She watched with adoration, arms crossed against her abdomen.

"Are you one of the press?" Someone poked Jo shoulder. She turned her head and shook it.

"No, sorry. Just a guest hiding from the cameras."

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry Miss Collins, I didn't realize it was you I was poking," the woman blushed, "Do you want to do an interview about the premiere?"

"Uhm, no thank you. I haven't actually seen the movie yet, I don't think I'd have too much to say," Jo nervously rambled.

"Understandable, enjoy your evening," she turned and walked off. Jo furrowed her eyebrows slightly but brushed it off, returning her attention to the sound of Taylor's laugh.

Shortly after, Taylor was back at Jo's side as they entered the theatre, taking a few moments to get introduced to some of the people she hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

"Hello," Jo extended her hand, shaking one of the producers hands, "Nice to finally meet you."

"Jo Collins!" The man exclaimed joyfully, "Here, please take my card. If you ever want to do some songwriting for movies, call me and I'll get you whatever you want. Have your people call me even."
