I know I said you'd have to wait until Friday but maybe I should just stick to the schedule lmao Tuesday's and Friday's friends!

"Do you really think it doesn't change anything between us?" Taylor asked suddenly. The couple had already headed into their bedroom after saying goodnight to their younger siblings, Taylor had changed and Jo had showered.

"I don't know why it would," Jo answered, putting a guitar pick between her teeth as she turned a tuning knob on the head of the guitar, "It's not something that needs to change anything, in my opinion."

"But I never told you, aren't you mad? Or upset? Something?" Taylor asked, holding the duvet between her fingers as she sat up to look at Jo in the chair in the corner of the room, fiddling with her guitar.

"No, honey. I don't think I have any reason to be. It's not like you aborted our child and didn't tell me, you made a choice before we were together and you had something unfortunate happen to you before we were together and there's not much I can do other than support you."

"But you cried," Taylor recalled, biting her lip with a bit of nervousness.

"Well yeah, because you cried and I thought you were really hurting because of something," Jo explained, looking up for a moment, "You said you're okay, so why do I need to be upset? It doesn't change anything."

"Don't you worry about me keeping other secrets?"

Jo raised her eyebrows at the blonde, "Do you have other secrets you want to share with me?"

"No," Taylor sighed, "I'm worried that you are not reacting to this and it feels like a small deal."

"It's a small deal unless you continue to inflate it into a big one," Jo chuckled, putting the pick back between her lips as she turned the next knob.

Taylor went quiet for a minute before she asked, "What are you playing?"

"I don't know yet. Just tuning it, haven't played this one in a while."

"When you're done tuning it, what are you going to play?" Taylor pressed. She slouched forward and rested her hands on her cheeks in what looked to be a rather uncomfortable position.

"Tay, is it a big deal to you?" Jo stopped what she was doing so she could give the older musician her full attention.

"No," Taylor hummed, "Yes."

Jo set the guitar down and padded over to the bed. She sat down cross-legged across from Taylor, grabbed the blonde's hands and said, "Sweetheart, what do you need to talk about? I'm here, okay? Not upset."

"I'm scared," Taylor admitted, her voice becoming thick, "That you think differently of me."

"No, I don't. I promise you," Jo smiled weakly to comfort the blonde, squeezing her hands tight, "If I did- if I had an issue with anything, I would be honest with you."

"I know, but-"

"There are no buts. It is what it is, you are the one who said it was all probably for the best. I love you, I love the person you are, I love the person you are becoming, and I love the person you have been," Jo reminded her.

Their eyes were locked onto each other's, Jo was looking for a sign of distress, and Taylor searching for lies or a reason to run.

She couldn't find one.

"I love you," Taylor smiled. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes to do so. When she opened them, Jo was still in front of her, still there, still holding her hands.
