In Nashville, Jo put her car in park after she pulled up to Andrea's home. She and Taylor were having lunch there, but Taylor's shopping with Abigail had run late and she told Jo she would meet her over there shortly, which wasn't a problem at all.

Jo climbed up the front steps and opened the door, calling out, "Hello?"

"Hey!" Andrea chased after a very excited Kitty, the Great Dane barked at the brunette deeply before her owner calmed her down, "Where's Taylor?"

"She's going to be like twenty minutes late, she told me to let myself in. Shopping with Abigail," she explained, reaching lower to give Kitty a good scratch behind the ears.

Despite not being a huge fan of dresses for causal occasions, Josephine sported a flowery sundress and a golden charm bracelet with some simple flat shoes. She even put on a bit more than her usual everyday makeup, yet to be seen by Taylor since she had gotten ready for the day.

"I'm glad you stopped knocking, you're family. Come on, you can keep me company in the garden."

"Do you want to see what I'm getting Taylor for our three year anniversary?" The brunette said enthusiastically, "I actually want your opinion on it, if that's okay?"

"Of course," Andrea slid open the back door to the yard and took a seat at the patio table under a wide umbrella.

"I know it's not until September but I just figured I should get a head start. I'm pretty sure she is trying to buy me a universe, or a galaxy, something like that... I don't know, I suck at that kind of science but there's weird searches on our Amazon history."

"I think she is keeping you around, considering the shared Amazon account," Andrea cleared her throat and reached for her glass of water as she did so, waiting for Jo to pull up whatever she was going to show her.

"I hope so," Jo smiled and turned the phone around once the glass of water was carefully set down. The iPhone screen displayed a ring with a gold band, making the older woman shriek.

"No?! You are going to propose?" Andrea was shocked beyond belief. Taylor had mentioned they didn't plan to marry any time soon, and she thought that was still the plan.

"No, it's April Fools day," Jo chuckled, "I'm sorry, I had to. She told me to! Don't be mad at me, it's your daughter who put me up to it."

"Oh god, you almost gave me a heart attack!"

"I'm sorry," Jo swiped for a second, "Here, this is what I'm actually thinking about doing for it and I do want your input."

This time, the smartphone showed the mother a resort over in the UK. It was stunning, had gorgeous views and great reviews.

"I'm already working to make sure we both get the time off, I was thinking a week there in the Lakes and maybe book a few experiences she hasn't done before, but that's the hard part because I don't know if she'll want to go zip lining when she might just want to sit by the lake and read."

"I think she will love it, just make sure she doesn't do something similar. When Scott and I were married, we both planned a weekend getaway for the same weekend and ended up paying double for a vacation we couldn't even go on because Austin got sick and we couldn't leave him with a sitter like that."

"I'm going to be super busy with tour and then my tour ends and her's launches soon after for the festivals so I thought some uninterrupted time together would be good before all the craziness. Plus she's tired, she's barely started this era and she's tired and I am too. We're too old for this, it's probably the last time I get this kind of response for an album but I want her rested so that she can keep doing what she loves most."
