While Jo was at the venue, preforming her sound check and getting ready for the show, Charlie decided to stay behind and have lunch with Taylor.

Originally they were supposed to go out, but fans had swarmed Taylor's building in hopes of catching a glimpse of either singer, something that just happened whenever Jo had a show nearby one of the blonde's properties, and so they decided to order in.

"You want some wine?" Taylor asked, seeing Charlie raise her eyebrows.

"Is that a trick question?" The seventeen year old questioned, hesitant to answer. It was completely plausible that Jo had put Taylor up to this, to see if she'd be responsible.

"You've told me before that you drink, I'd rather you do it responsibly," Taylor chuckled, grabbing down a second glass, "Plus, what your sister doesn't know just this once... do not tell her."

"Promise," Charlie nodded, sitting down at the dining table and accepting the glass with a thank you. They ordered gourmet burgers and fries, a relaxing lunch for just them.

They talked for a while, Taylor listened about boys Charlie liked and explained just how tour really worked so that Charlie knew what to expect. Charlie didn't actually like the wine, but she drank it because how often does someone offer you free expensive alcohol?

"I just think the best thing for me to do is be honest, but at the same time I don't want to come off as chauvinistic. Jo is the same about her sexuality, she can stand for it and not be excessive about it. That's the fine line, so yes, I stand with the Democratic Party, but I can't be too aggressive about or I could damage my career. That's why your sister and my dad are fighting, because she thinks it's the right thing to do and he does not," Taylor sighed, sipping at her second glass.

"It's interesting to learn your point of view on things," Charlie replied, somewhere along the line they'd ended up on politics, "Are they like really fighting though?"

"Meh, there's sometimes a few choice words exchanged. She's comfortable enough to share her thoughts, it's one of the many things I love about her."

"She's a lot happier with you," Charlie revealed, taking the smallest sip from her glass, she tried quite hard not to make a face when the bitterness hit her tongue, "She used to be pretty lonely, she would hang out with Rachel a bit, but she spent a lot of time trying to hang out with me and I was never interested. I feel bad about that now."

"You were around that age, she gets it. I know she does," Taylor tried to comfort the brunette, standing up to clear their plates, "She's just happy you're doing well in school, that's why she's paying for your university. She wants to see you succeed, regardless of your past."

"She's doing what?" Charlie asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Oh," Taylor blinked quickly, "Did she not tell you? Shit, my bad."

"Jo's paying for my school? Since when?"

"She told me she was... I think you should talk to your sister about it. I'm sorry, I didn't realize you didn't know. Forget I said anything," Taylor exhaled, but her shoulders were still strung high.

"My dad said he couldn't afford it," Charlie choked up, "I didn't think I was going to be able to go."

Taylor dropped the dishes in the sink and rinsed off her hands, realizing this was a bigger bomb than she had expected, "Uhm... yeah, she has a savings account for you. She's been putting money into it since she dropped out, hoping if she didn't use it than you could. I don't know that much, I know that it's grown since the album release, a lot. I guess you better start on those applications soon, huh?"
