The king would have them brutalize innocents for gain. One man turned against them, one knight standing between the king's army and those he was commissioned to harm. Standing against the king was standing against all things Holy in the eyes of the church. Even after a sound beating, he still refused to repent of his 'sins' against the wicked king. He was forsaken and cast out of the kingdom, with the brand of a heretic burned into his flesh. Though cursed with this irremovable mark of shame, he never turned from his ways. That merciful path that forced him into the life of a hermit.

Adwyn was originally an NPC I created for an AI campaign I was building. I figured him and his party deserve more recognition. After a talk with my friend, MishaTookMyQuarter , (and listening to some great music which I highly recommend,) I was inspired to draw up a character sheet for him! :3
