Name: Zynoph, The Order, Aurora Dragon Age: Unrecorded
Whether native to Gaia as some theories have suggested, or hailing from another world entirely, Zynoph, or the Order, is an entity many consider as old as the universe itself.
Often coming off as neutral and indifferent to those whom he has appeared to, Zynoph's singular goal is to assure no entities like himself spread their influence beyond their own home-worlds, and that those who do are subsequently destroyed.
In ages past, he revealed himself to the Cetra, and in latter millennium, indirectly to Shinra, having appeared to an astronomer named Carol Mercer who worked in an Astral Observatory in the city of Midgar. Both incidents revolved around his one known reason for his presence on Gaia: The celestial parasite called Jenova, or the Calamity; a creature whom he believes has no right to exist within the order of the universe.
Zynoph is a powerful and ancient being with ties to the deep cosmos. His power is vast, and can only be called upon sparingly to avoid cataclysm. He can shape shift, but has never openly used this ability, as despite his unusual appearance, he deems it unnecessary.
Zynoph is currently believed to be engaged in discovering a way to destroy Jenova entirely, without bringing an apocalypse down on Gaia. He has not appeared to any living person since his only known communicant, Dr. Mercer, was quietly killed by Shinra several years ago.
