Hold up, before you make a Slender Man comment, this is not actually Slender Man. Lemme explain.

A couple years ago I was writing a Slender Man AU, I was in the Creepypasta fandom, super depressed and suicidal, etc, etc. Until I was yanked from the depths of this self-bred hell by my spartan in shining Mjolnir armor-- but that's another story.

Anyways, I abandoned the Slender Man AU, and all the creepypasta and horror fandoms I was in.
Later on however, I saw the potential in what I had written to become a super neat supernatural/alien story. Thus Alienus Similis a.k.a. Inky, was born. An amnesiac alien phenomenon that resembles Slender Man in general appearance and nothing else, to the point of straight up loathing any kind of association.

Inky, while being in general appearance a tall, pale humanoid, hiding amongst the trees, being capable of morphism and procuring tendrils, this is where his similarities to the Slender Man end for a few reasons.

A. Slender Man's first recorded sighting was captured by photography. On a playground standing ominously with the children, who were then apparently never seen again.
Inky's first recorded sighting was by a group of highschool students playing hooky in the woods. A situation happened with minor injuries but everyone survived.

B. Slender Man's most likely origin is that of some ancient medieval demon, though he has no confirmed canon on the subject.
Inky is an actual off-world specimen, there is no explanation for how he ended up on Earth, as he cannot remember anything beyond ending up in the woods.

C. Slender Man is impervious to most, if not all, forms of physical attack. He appears to use his abilities to lure and terrorize select targets.
Inky is capable of being harmed in most manners of attack. His abilities are for, and are used in necessary self-preservation.

D. Slender Man has no canon motive for what he does, we don't even know that he's not just a creative pawn for a more powerful being.
Inky is known as a completely independent alien organism, who is primarily motivated by his own formulated opinion of justice.

I could go on, but trying to jot down all the scientific explanations I've given for Inky's anatomy and abilities would take a long time, so I won't. Slender Man exists as an internet myth in Inky's universe, which has caused people to make an association, but he openly disagrees with and dislikes being referred to by the name of an infamous entity.
In short, despite looking on the surface like Slender Man, Inky hates him; and since he can't tell myth from truth, he likely believes Slender Man exists and is throwing him under the bus for his offences.
