Died a noble death, worthy of a most honorable samurai. Now returned to life by a faint memory of grace.
My Elden Ring Tarnished OC, Tamashini Kairi, who has been waiting since the game's release to finally exist on a canvas. :D
Kairi was an orphan taken in by a low-ranking samurai and his secretive wife. Together they named and raised the spirited child, who would follow in father's footsteps, living and fighting as a samurai warrior in the Land of Reeds. When a power-hungry traitor, Hekima Shin-go, revealed his true colors and slaughtered nearly all of his fellow samurai in the name of his mysterious mission, Kairi put everything on the line to stop him, and paid the price.
Standing to face each other for the last time, the two each struck fatal wounds into the other, Shin-go driving a katana through Kairi's chest, and Kairi slicing off Shin-go's head. When the last few samurai found the two warriors, both had died. Shin-go was left to rot, Kairi as taken back to be laid to rest as honorably as possible.
Buried with Kairi was a katana, (the second had shattered,) a medallion, and a secret only Kairi's parents, the remaining samurai, and Shin-go had ever known. A secret the samurai would keep on in the next life, entering the Lands Between.
The Toryū lives again, to strive for the rite to become Elden Lord.

Despite the dramatic sounding backstory (that's just my writing style lol) Kairi is actually extremely cheeky and occasionally sarcastic. Because how could I make an entirely serious character? All my FromSoft OCs are emos who either fell in love with extroverts or adopted a child. Now I've got the lovechild of Deadpool and Mulan.
