It took me forever to just sit down and create this because I focused on the fact that Norse mythology says that of all the gods, Baldur is the'fairest to look upon'. I had no idea how to put that down on a canvas, so I almost didn't even try. Then I finally just came to terms with the fact that even if he isn't the most beautiful on the outside, it was that gem of a person on the inside that makes him the most unquestionably beautiful of all the others. And that beauty just kind of...✨shone through.✨

I never understood the line "Pretty enough to make the pageant queens cry" until I drew this. I now understand that line completely.
