How I draw dragons is with shorter forelimbs vs hindlimbs, wings and forelimbs being separate, external ears, and long cat+snake like bodies; sometimes I also give them beards, manes and tassels. Frankly, since dragons aren't biologically lizards, I draw them looking like a smoothed-out mishmash of different creatures; they are their own unique species after all.
