Friday....
Jay's POV

"Jay, have you gotten everything?" My mum asked me as I was about to walk out the house. "Yes mum, I do." "Now, make sure to comfort Ni-Ki." "Mum, he hasn't been at school for the past few days so I don't think he'll be there today." "But if he is, make sure sure to comfort him." I sighed. "Ok." "Have a good day." "Bye mum!"

I walked towards the gate, pushing it open. I then walked to school while listening to music. I felt someone tap my shoulder as I was walking. I turned around to see Heeseung hyung. "Oh! Hey, Heeseung hyung." I wasn't expecting him out of all people to be standing there.

"Can I walk with you?" He asked me. "Sure." We both walked side by side towards our school. "So I heard about Ni-Ki's parents." Why is he talking about this? "Yep." "Have you talked to him at all?" "Yeah, I have. I went to his house on Tuesday and...." "And?" "Nothing. Never mind."

We soon arrived at our school and separated, walking towards different directions. I went towards my locker to grab my books. But I saw Sunghoon and Jake waiting there. Which confused me because their lockers aren't really close to mine like at all.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them. "Gee! I can see you're excited to see us." Jake sarcastically exclaimed. "No, I am." "Anyways, we wanted to give you this." Sunghoon handed me a box. "What is this? Is this what you wanted to give me a few days ago?" Sunghoon nodded.

I was about to open the box when I was interrupted by someone. "Hey guys..." I turned around to see
Ni-Ki. "Ni-Ki?" "Hi!" He hugged my side with a small smile on his face. "How are you guys?" He sounded so happy and cheerful. I mean, maybe he's happy to see us but... it just doesn't really make sense. Considering what happened with his parents and all.

"We're good. Are you?" Jake said. "Yep! What's in the box?" He asked me. "They gave it to me. I don't know." We both looked at them. Jake and Sunghoon both looked like they were panicking. I opened it anyway because I wanted know what was in this box! "Why did you guys give me a phone? And money?" I started laughing, thinking they were just joking with the gift.

"It's for you," Jake said. "Money and a phone?" They both nodded. I looked at Ni-Ki, noticing that he was staring back at me. I quickly looked away because I started to remember what happened on Tuesday. "W-why?" They didn't answer. "Why did you give this?"

That's when it hit me. Are they giving me this because of the dare? That's so dumb. I held in my laughter at the thought. That's definitely not it. I wouldn't of done all this for only to get a phone and some money! No way.

"We gotta go! Bye guys!" Sunghoon ran away with Jake following soon after. "Well, that was weird."
Ni-Ki said. I put the box in my locker, grabbing the books I was meant to get in the first place! Ni-Ki then moved closer towards me, pecking me on the cheek. I froze because I was shocked.

Is he going to start kissing me now? I don't want to play with his feelings... but... I don't want to hurt him. I can't do it. I can't look at his face and tell him to stop doing all this. I just can't. "Can you meet me... at the rooftop during lunch break?" He shyly asked me. "Sure." I smiled at him. "Ok! I'll see you then?" "Yep."

"Bye!" "Goodbye Ni-Ki." He then walked towards his own locker that's a level below mine.

During lunch break....
Ni-Ki's POV

I was in Maths class, watching the clock until it hit 12:30. Because when it does, I'm going to meet Jay hyung on the rooftop.

After countless times of looking back and forth to the teacher and the clock the bell rang. I almost immediately stood up from my chair, grabbing my things. I walked towards the door that would lead me to the rooftop. I walked up the stairs, which was surprisingly not tiring. Since the last time I did, it took me ALONG time to walk up these stairs.

I stood near the edge, waiting for Jay hyung. After a few minutes of waiting, I heard the doors open. I saw Jay hyung walk up to me, standing beside me. "Hello Ni-Ki." "Hi hyung!" "What did you want to tell me?" "So you know... everything about my parents separating and stuff." He hummed as a response. "And you remember everything that happened on Tuesday when you came to my house."

He immediately looked at me. "Yeah...." "I... I want know... do you like me?" He didn't say anything back. "Because we kissed and I haven't been able to forget about it... and I'm a bit confused." "Do you like me?" He asked me. It took me awhile to respond back to him. "Y-yeah..." I nodded my head, looking up at him.

"Do you?" He pursed him lips, staring back at me. "I guess... I do." I couldn't help but blush, looking away. He likes me back? "Really?" "Yeah." I looked back up at him, lightly smiling at him. I debated on whether I should kiss him or not, but I did it anyway.

I pecked him on the lips and I could tell his body stiffened. I smiled at his reaction. He lightly chuckled. "Should we get some lunch now?" He asked me. "Yeah." We walked down the stairs.

I couldn't stop thinking about him actually liking me back. I honestly think I still haven't fully processed the fact the he does. I looked at him opening the door. He opened the door for me to walk through and he followed after me. He's even opening the door for me now?!? WHAT?!?

He didn't do that before! We went towards the cafeteria, grabbing a tray of food. We then sat down at the table where all the others were sitting.

Jay's POV

I just walked out of school to go back home. I was walking for only a few minutes when I heard someone right behind me. I didn't think anything of it. Then the person hugged my arm. I looked at them and saw that it was Ni-Ki...

"Oh! It's you Ni-Ki." "Hi Jay hyung," He softly said. As we were walking, I couldn't help but remember what I said on the rooftop.

Why did I say I liked him back?!? I don't know why I'm doing this! My thoughts were interrupted by
Ni-Ki resting his head on my shoulder. I looked at him. "Are you comfortable?" I asked. "Yes, very." I saw him smile.

We soon arrived at his house. "We're here." He raised his head, looking up. "Ok, bye hyung." He kissed my cheeks before walking away. I watched him as he walked into his house. He waved at me before closing the door.

I turned around the other way so I could get to my house. After walking for a few minutes, I got to my house. I opened the front door, walking into the kitchen. "Hey mum!" "Hey Jay! Was Ni-Ki at school today?" Why is everyone asking me about Ni-Ki today? "Yes he was. Why do you want to know?" "Well, he's such a sweet boy who's going through a lot at the moment. So I just want to know if he's doing ok."

I nodded, understanding exactly what she's saying. "Yeah he's doing ok. I actually walked him home." "Oh! Yeah! I realised how you were late." "I'm going to do my homework now." "Have fun Jay." "I definitely will." I walked upstairs, going towards my room, getting started up on my homework.

Although, I didn't get much work done at all. Not only because I had a lot of work to do, but because of Ni-Ki. I just can't stop thinking about today.

Like only like 2 chapters before this one, Ni-Ki and Jay were happy (as friends) and now... Jay is feeling very guilty and Ni-Ki is both extremely happy and sad...
I know! I'm confused too.
