Y/n was standing on her balcony breathing in the rather cold morning air and watching the sun rise. She was holding a cup of tea in her right hand and held on the railing with the other. She found it rather relaxing waking up early in the morning just to get this view. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She could stand here all day just watching the people down on the streets going about their day. This was the perfect penthouse. Or was it?
There was one thing Y/n didn't like about it: The fact that she saw the Avengers Tower from here. She didn't need to be reminded everyday of her dad and the others. The problem was that there was no place in the city where you didn't see it. She couldn't move out of the city either. The city needed Peter and well, she did too. As much as she hated the Avengers, she loved Peter more and she knew he couldn't live without being Spiderman.
She let out a sigh. All those memories she wanted to forget.
"Dad can you help me with this project for school? I don't understand it.", a 13 year old Y/n asked. "No Y/n can't you see I'm busy", Tony said tickling a one-year old Morgan. "But-" "No buts ask someone else" , Y/n left to find Bruce. "Bruce can you help me with-" "Sorry kid no can do your dad needs me to fix this", y/n sighs and goes to find Steve. "uncle Steve can you help me?" "Sorry kid I would but there is a mission coming up" "Later?" "I can't sorry" "it's fine" With tears in her eyes she went back to her room.
The next day: "Y/n what is this? You only got a D on your school project?!!", Tony yelled coming into her room. "You wouldn't help me", she said. "I WAS BUSY, NOT EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS ABOUT YOU Y/N" "Nothing ever is", she mumbled.
Y/n took the last sip of her tea and went back into the penthouse. It wasn't as luxurious as it sounded. In was decorated modestly and was one of the smallest ones in that area, but it was still a penthouse. When Y/n left the tower for good, she also took 3 million dollars from her mothers old account and transferred it to an other bank.
That didn't mean, that she didn't work at all to be where she was now. She had started her own fashion business under a different name and had gained millions. It was the top brand for all celebrities. The brand was called Spiders-web, the style of the clothes didn't have much to with the name, she just thought the name was cool. Since nobody knew, who owned the brand, she was dubbed the Spiders Dame. She liked the name. It kinda hinted at her relationship with the friendly neighborhood spider, even if nobody knew about that.
Peter was a big part of her success. He modeled for the brand sometimes and supported her with every struggle that came her way. He was her everything.
Y/n went to the kitchen and sat down her mug beside the sink. She went to go get her laptop and opened it up to find lots of messages from her company. She sighed, this was gonna be a long morning, but she wouldn't give the world for it. So she started working.
Half way through the first badge of messages she felt sick. "Oh not again!", she exclaimed running to the bathroom and barely making it in time. She hovered over the toilet and started throwing up. Luckly her hair was already in a ponytail, so it wouldn't fall in her face. When she was finished she let out a sight of both relief that it was over and annoyance that it happened in the first place. She always has had stomach problems but they have been getting more frequently recently and were a real pain in the ass. She sat back down on the couch after making a stomach calming tea and started to answer more messages.
It was about lunchtime, when she was finished with all of the messages and she decided that she needed some fresh air. She grabbed a hand bag and put in her keys, wallet and phone and exited her penthouse. She took the elevator down the hundred floors and stepped out into the busy New Yorker streets.
She decided to visit one of her favorite restaurants. It was just down the street and not as well known as others. That meant there where less people. Y/n hated crowds and that was one way to avoid one.
She entered the restaurant she quickly went to the booth closest to the bathroom. Just in case. She was glad, she did cause as soon as she even sat down, she saw a few of the Avengers waiting outside of the restaurant through the reflection of the bathroom door. She pulled her hood up and waited patiently, praying they wouldn't sit down close to her.
"Do you have space for three people?", she heard her Dad say.
"Yes right over there", the waiter showed them to the booth beside behind Y/n. And y/n wanted to disappear there and then. How did the Avengers know this place?
"So what is this all about?", Y/n heard a female voice say. It was Wanda Maximoff. She had never met her because she left before Wanda joined but she saw her on TV a few times.
"I want you two to organize Morgans Birthday next month", Tony said.
"Sure we can do that", Natasha said.
Morgans Birthday? Right she was turning eleven in April. Wow she was only three when Y/n left. Back then Y/n was 15. She had missed most of her sisters life. It made her feel guilty. Maybe one day she could meet her and explain why she did what she did. Yeah, she'll do that for this year she'll send Morgan something.
After she ate her food Y/n didn't have to stall much longer, because the Avengers left soon after they ate theirs. Y/n quickly rushed home after that, to go back to work.
