Chapter 36 Three in one

Tony didn't know, why he had agreed to go to this donation party. Much more why he permitted the some of Avengers to come. He had been surprised, that they wanted to. Especially Peter. It didn't seem to be any of their normal scenes. Maybe they were coming, because there was just a little bit of hope for y/n to come. Peter didn't tell them if she'd be coming or not, but seemed like her kind of scene. Tony himself wasn't quite sure if he wanted to see y/n yet again for her to hate him for it, but he had also another goal at hand. He wanted to find out who the Spiders-dame was and why she seemed to be always just one step ahead of him. So now Natasha, Steve, Rhodey, Sam, Bucky and Tony were in the big mansion of the guy that hosted the party, just observing all the guests. This time though there were no masks hiding their faces. 

Peter walked in, a little later than his team mates. He had been at home and lost track of time, when he was talking to y/n about her new business. He liked the idea of her donating the money she didn't need, to those in need. What made him a bit nervous, was that the name Harley Keener so familiar to him was, of course he knew, that the guy owned a company that specialized in robotics, but he had the feeling the name was also dropped in the tower on more that one occasion, and not in the theme of robotics. He would have to dig into that sometime, because when the Avengers talk about someone who doesn't work in the tower, their mostly criminals. 

Peter walked over to Tony who was observing the party in a very obvious manner. "Who are you looking for?", he asked, when he stood close enough, causing Tony to flinch in surprise.  "God Peter you scared me", he said. "You're being too obvious", Peter said. "And you didn't answer my question. Are you looking for y/n?", Tony nodded. "One of three", he said without looking at Peter. "Who else?" "Well I'm trying to figure out the Spiders-dame identity and I was also wondering if maybe your girlfriend shows up" With those words Peter had to look away and hold in his laughter. It was funny to see how his boss was looking for three people, while he only had to look for one. "Ok, then I'll leave you to it", he said. "Wait a second.", Tony looked at him for the first time. "Did I guess correctly? Is your girlfriend coming?", He asked, while studying Peters face for clues. Peter kept his face straight. "I guess you're gonna have to figure that out", he said as he walked away. "Don't forget to donate something", he shouted over his shoulder in Tonys direction.

When he was gone, Tony put his hand on his ear. He was on comms with the others. "Hey guys, I have reason to believe Peters girlfriend is gonna show up too", he said quietly. "So what? we have three people to find?", Natasha said annoyed. "It would be easier if Tony got over his grudge with the Spiders-dame", Steve commented. "Well copy that, we only have to find two more, cause y/n just walked in", Rhodey said. They all looked at the door. Tony had to catch his breath, when he saw her. She looked absolutely stunning. She was wearing a black two piece that was down playing her pregnancy as much as possible. From where he was standing he wouldn't have noticed that she was six months pregnant. It was only visible when she turned to greet the host of the party. "Wait, that's y/n?", Tony heard Sam say on the other side of his comm. "She really inherited nothing of you except for the style, I would even say hers is better", he said. Tony rolled his eyes." Thank you for the input Sam.", he replied sarcastically.  

Y/n walked over to one of the round standing tables and took out her phone. She texted Harley, where he could find her at the party, if he wanted to. After she'd done that, she took a glance around the room. She spotted Tony almost immediately. When she caught him staring at her, she had to laugh. One by one she saw some Avengers. It was like a game of 'Where's Wally?' to her. They could've been wearing neon shirts, it was that easy to spot them.  She should have been mad, but it was so funny to her, how desperate they were she let it slide. She had better things to do anyways. After a while she saw Harley walk over to her. She waved for him to see her. "You clean up nicely", she said, when he arrived at the table. "Wow, a fashion compliment from the Spiders-dame, I'll take it. You look fantastic by the way.", he laughed. "You better not scream my name around", she said. "I would never"
