Sweet Warm Milk

A/N- Just like Star Nostalgia, this is more a clump of thoughts, except that this poem rhymes more. It's long too. I must have been vibing a lot on that day to write such long poems. Also for some reason this is bold, so I'll put my author's note in not bold text for this one.

If there was a drink I would say most reminds me of you

It would be tasty sweet warm milk, the sugary brew

Makes me feel nostalgic, feel feelings I haven't felt

For a long time, I've let the warm liquid melt

Waiting for its natural flow

It takes a long time, savor the flavor as you let it go

Deeper into your throat, boom, down though your whole body

You'll feel and be so warm, everybody

Will wonder, 'What happened to that person? They were so mean

And now they're so keen

To be kind, is there some miracle substance that does this?'

Nope, it's just my sweet warm milk caressing your throat

Like a kiss, if your life sucks, we're both in the same boat

But I'll protect you, keep you afloat

If you're thirsty or hungry, just let me know

I'll pour some sweet warm milk into a cup, it helps you grow

Grow strong and supple, like a beautiful plant

If you need help, I'll chant

Spells and songs to keep the monsters away

You're a young child that I pray survives another day

Your life is too precious to go so soon

Ask what you want of me, I'll be your boon

Your cradle when you want to rest

Surely, if I'll do all this, we'll be blessed

Look, the rainbows have come to make life brighter

Because you've survived, they gift you with their beauty, you're

My sweet fighter

Stay on a bit longer with me, there'll be more rainbows to come

The sweet warm milk drips down my fingers, drip drip drip

Lap it up with your warm tongue, sip, sip, sip

My little star-wishing child, I hope you someday see

Your protector can't always be me

One day, my sweet milk will dry up, and you'll be left alone

Nobody to talk to on anything, not even the phone

When that day comes, I hope you don't fall down again

Stay calm and happy, even through the rain

And the sun will surely come back to your eyes one day

Even when your sky is gray

You're not the only one feeling this way

I'm here, too, crying like you, we can hug each other
