It can destroy you from inside
At least, that's what I've been told
But that's a foolish argument, it's one side
That I'm sick and tired of hearing, it got old
When I look at them, if all I feel is love
That isn't a sign I'm insane
It's just a sign that they're an angel from above
Come here to soothe my aching brain
When they hold me in their arms
And they dazzle me with their warm smile
It's not meant to set off any alarms
It's just meant to keep me happy for a while
That's what they all said to me
Before they got pulled too far into love
You don't know how much it hurts to see
Someone destroyed by that 'angel from above'
Crushed by what they once called unrequited
Now they've alone and their lover has gone
Where has he gone? He cheated
Cheated and left his lover pale and wan
As their desire wanes like the moon
They'll sob and beg for their lover to return
Then hang themselves when they hear 'Soon.'
But they're fools, so nobody will mourn
They've been crushed by unrequited love...
