loonathezoo's Poem Gift| Awkward Love

When she touched me
I could do nothing, so I blushed
When her hands caressed my body
I said nothing, I was hushed

She gently let me go
And gave me her most beautiful smile
And asked, "My love, are you alright?"
She told me she hadn't done this in a while

I was afraid she would see how shy I was
I was petrified she could see
It was spreading like an ugly blanket
All over me, covering, my insecurity

I pushed her away
Ignored the tears in her eyes
She yelled at me then
Said I was a devil in disguise

I've never seen her again after that
My heart was broken by myself
Destroyed by my own awkward love
I make a promise signed in my tears

I will love no one else
Lost her by my awkward love
