When I open my eyes, all I see is endless space
In the darkness, I couldn't see your face
Open your eyes, can you see mine?
We're stuck in two different universes, two different days and time
Against the open space, some light begins to show
I rush towards it, make sure it doesn't go
Grasp it close to my chest, feel it beating in my breast
Could it be? Have I been set free?
Through the universe I fly, on broken wings
Trying to set right all the little things
Through the universe, till I get to you
I won't settle, whatever I do
My universe is you
Bright, shining, you were my new star
Sparkling even in total darkness, that's who you are!
Believe in yourself to fly with me
In open space, I just want to be free
I feel the knives against my skin
Tormented, I close my heart, don't let anyone in!
But you somehow entered my heart
You and your starry soul
Make me lose control
Through the universe I fly, on broken wings

Through the universe, till I get to you
I won't settle, whatever I do
My universe is you
Now, this is the end
Forever, my heart you will bend
But it's time to forge my own path
I won't stop or quit, I'll fear nobody's wrath
Against the universe, you, my star, shine bright
Shine with me through this last lonely night
Against the universe, you and I will stay
For one last time, until the end of the day
