Shy_noodles2's Poem Gift| Nobody's Child

A/N- For my sweetheart July, this is your gift. I'll try my best to make it good for you.

Among the cold wintry street
On the ground so mild
As the snow so rapidly beat down
There lay a dying child

Whose child is this? was what they asked
All of the adults who walked hither and thither
Saw the child, and stopped for a curious while
Before ignoring it and moving past

The child reached out to the people
With blood dripping down from his chin
And prayed fervently that one friendly human
Might open the door of their heart; let him in

But alas! That was not to be
For among that snow that clouded your breath
The poor child could take the pain no more
And, relieved, he breathed his last breath

And everyone on the street stopped and paused
Feeling guilt weighing heavily in their heart
Why hadn't they stopped to help the child
Of all their time, they could give a little part

Oh, what a mournful day it was
On that snowy, clouded street
As a lost, abandoned child died
Right below the people's feet

Who was this child? The people would ask
The answer was never to be known
And when the minister buried him in the grave
Nobody gave so much as a groan

In your street today is a 'Nobody's Child'
Scarred, injured, waiting for death
Come closer to him now
And take him into your breast

A/N- I hope you liked it. I tried my best. This is written in ballad form so sorry if it's sad. But the topic was sad anyway, so I guess this was what you wanted.
