At Edoras, in the Golden Hall of Meduseld, Éowyn brings Théoden a cup. Théoden raises it and prepares to addresses a quiet crowd. Aragorn leads the men in standing. Hali stands beside Gandalf off to the side of the hall.

Théoden gives a seldom speech "Tonight we remember those who gave their blood to defend this country. Hail the victorious dead!" "Hail!" the crowd of men and women cheer. Aragorn hesitates, then drinks from his mug. The Rohirrim party in the great hall. Éomer instructs a group, including Gimli and Legolas.

Eomer smirks at the dwarf and elf "No pauses, no spills." Legolas and Gimli are handed mugs of ale. "And no regurgitation." Gimli chuckles before tipping back his first mug, "So it's a drinking game?" the prince asks with a raised eyebrow. "Aye, Last one standing wins." Gimli laughs. "What'll we drink to? Let's drink to victory! To victory!" Men of Rohan chant. Legolas takes a small sip from his drink. Gimli chugs his drink. Éowyn approaches Aragorn. "Westu, Aragorn, hál."(Be-thou Aragorn well.)

Aragorn takes a goblet from Éowyn, who watches him, smiling. Aragorn returns the cup and walks away. Théoden joins Éowyn, watching Aragorn. "I am happy for you. He is an honorable man." the uncle tells his niece, "You are both honorable men." She replays "It was not Théoden of Rohan who led our people to victory. Ah, don't listen to me. You are young and tonight is for you."

Gimli and Legolas continue their drinking contest. Gimli grabs for another drink. "Here, here. It's the dwarves that go swimming with little hairy women." Gimli says with his eyes slowly crossing. Legolas examines his fingers, looking worried. "I feel something. A slight tingling in my fingers. I think it's affecting me." "What did I say? He cant hold his liquor!" Gimli passes out, Legolas looks smug. "Game over." Hali sees her poor dwarf friend before stepped over by men in the hall wall the others around the table laugh with Legolas.

Merry and Pippin dance on a tabletop to the amusement of onlookers.

Merry and Pippin: "Oh, you can search far and wide
You can drink the whole town dry
But you'll never find a beer so brown
As the one we drink in our home town.

You can keep your fancy ales.
You can drink em by the flagon
But the only brew for the brave and true..."
"Pippin!" Merry calls out to him before they pick the song back up, "...But the only brew for the brave and true, Comes from the Green Dragon!"The hobbits chugs their drinks. "I win!" Pippin cheers.

Aragorn talks quietly with Gandalf. "No news of Frodo?" Gandalf seldom says "No word. Nothing." Aragorn states "We have time. Every day Frodo moves closer to Mordor." "Do we know that?" Aragorn asks "What does your heart tell you?" "That Frodo is alive. Yes. Yes,

They came for him one winter's night, Arrested, he was bound
They said there'd been a robbery, His pistol had been found
They marched him to the station house, He waited till the dawn
And as they led him to the dock, He knew that he'd been wronged
"You stand accused of robbery,"
He heard the bailiff say, He knew without an alibi
Tomorrow's light would mourn his freedom
Over the hills and far away
For ten long years he'll count the days
Over the mountains and the seas
A prisoner's life for him there'll be

He knew that it would cost him dear
But yet he dared not say, Just where he'd been that fateful night
A secret it must stay, He had to fight back tears of rage
His heart beat like a drum
For with the wife of his best friend
He spent his final night of freedom
Over the hills and far away
He swears he will return one day
Far from the mountains and the seas
Back in her arms again he'll be
Over the hills and
Over the hills and
Over the hills and (x2)

Over the hills and far away

Each night within his prison cell
He looks out through the bars
He reads the letters that she wrote
One day he'll know the taste of freedom
Over the hills and far away
She prays he will return one day
As sure as the rivers reach the seas
Back in his arms again she'll be
Over the hills and far away
He swears he will return one day
As sure as the rivers reach the seas
Back in his arms is where she'll be
Over the hills and
Over the hills and
Over the hills and (x2)
Over the hills and far away

Hali sings out in sorrow on the mounts of the passed kings of Rohan, along with the young prince of Théoden's line. She watches the stars knowing she wont find any familiar constellations from her world though she tries to picture how they would look in the sky of middle earth. When the party has died down and men along with their women return to their homes for the night she is joined by Legolas to gaze out into the sky as the quietly speak to each other. Aragorn soon finds his place beside his friends. "The stars are veiled this night, something stirs in the east" Legolas says looking over at the ranger when all of a sudden they all feel darkness fall over them. Each panics before turning running back into the hall before Aragorn burst down the room door to find Pippin withering on the floor grasping the sphere from Saruman. Hali is the first to jump to the hobbit taking hold of the sphere she gasps in pain as Merry gets Pippin to slow down his breathing but before her eyes she sees the world in flames, the white tree of Gondor cut down and all she cared for dead and gone herself put in chains when a disembodied voice calls out to her asking for her name she doesn't answer again the voice asks her names before she too is pulled from the burning nightmare that could be a reality if they did not destroy the ring and save middle earth for evil.
