They had been walking for a good few days and by the time they reached the misty mountains it was dark with a thundering rain storm. Hali was dry thanks to her gifts of her father all the while the dwarves are soaked to the bone and look grumpy. she begins to sing Thunder Rock as loud as she can even though the dwarves couldn't really hear her over the wind and rain.
Awooo ooooo
Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder
I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track
I looked round
~
The company are soaked to the bone because of the hailing rain storm each dwarf struggles to hold on to the slick and sharp rock of the cliff side they were walking along to pass the misty mountains. All the while to only thing that came to Hali's mind was to sing thunder rock as she travelled at the back of the pack so that she could see the dwarves in front of her and the storm help so that they couldn't hear her belt out the lyrics though Bofur looked at her from time to time with a puzzled look in which she could only assume he heard her slightly.
~
And I knew there was no turning back
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The thunder of guns
Tore me apart
~
Thorin had shouted something along the line everyone bracing harder against the mountain side just trying to find somewhere to wait out the crazy storm."IT'S NO THUNDER STORM IT'S A THUNDER BATTLE" Bifour had screamed as he pointed at the first,
an second giant as they soon find out they walk along the legs of a third Hali watches the legs move apart and half the company disappears from her sight but those she could see she checked over.
~
You've been
Thunderstruck
Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the town
Went through to Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun
We met some girls
Some dancers who gave a good time
~
The legs move back together as the third giant is pushed over, Thorin rushes to his youngest nephew, "Where's Bilbo??" Someone calls they soon catch sight of him hanging by the tips of his fingers on sheer cliff. They all try to reach him but he slips even farther down that Hali's longer arms couldn't reach and to her surprise Thorin jumps down finding his own higher ledge to grab him from Hali sees it before it happens but she knows he's about to slip she takes a hard grip of his wrist and coat sleeve hosting him back upon the path they were walking.
"I thought we had lost our burglar" Dwalin chuckles "he's been lost ever since he left home" Thorin hisses before making Dwalin check the back of the cave. "Aye let's get a fire going" Gloin rubs his hands together "no fire tonight we know not what larks in the caves" Hali stops him as the others all pull out their bed rolls for the night.
"Bifour you take first watch" Thorin commands before settling down in his far corner.
~
Broke all the rules
Played all the fools
Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Yeah them ladies were too kind
~
You've been
Thunderstruck
I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
It's alright, we're doin' fine
It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
~
Bilbo waits till he thinks all are asleep before packing up his things some how forgetting someone is on watch.
"Where ya going Bilbo?" Bifour asks
"I don't belong here Thorin was right, so I'm going back to Rivendell" he whispers back to the dwarf.
Hali stood outside on the ledge even with the rain coming down so hard she felt she must watch the road on which they travelled.
~
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, baby, baby
Thunderstruck, you've been Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
~
" what's that?" She caught Bifour speaking to someone else before hearing the draw of a sword and seeing a soft halo light of blue bounce off the rocks and before she knew it the ground open up and practically swallowed the company and obviously being a Demigod she was desensitized to bad things happening so she did the only thing she could think of...
"You've been Thunderstruck" Hali screamed at the top of her lungs as she jumped into the pit in which the dwarves had fallen.Hali's POV
"Fucking dwarves, they just may be the reason I go white before I'm fifty" she stresses speaking to herself as she creeps around after the company and their captors of nasty little goblins. She sticks to the shadows behind the harassing mutants as they pull them along their rickety wooden bridges to the "throne room" which wasn't really a room at all but a bigger opening under the mountain. Coming into the larger part of the cave she saw the giant wort, boils and scared goblin king he wore a crown of bones and had a long staff, singing a gods horrendous song of torture.
"Who would be so bold is to come into my mountain" his voice choked like his throat was clogged. "fucking hate goblins, no scratch that I hate all the weird looking hunched, snarling pointy grey eared bastards of this world" she mutters angerly to herself as she moves as close to the company without being seen as she can.
Both the goblin king and the company are arguing back and forth before Thorin steps up to protect them, "you testy fool" she hisses watching the goblin send word to the pale orc that retch bastard lived only to test the wills of others and cause heart ache. Hali keeps to the shadows trying to think of a way to get the dwarves out of the goblin tunnels but before she knows it Gandalf has appeared and blinded their enemy so she draws riptide and goes slashing to the company. They run through the tunnels before they are stopped by the great ugly goblin king on a long rickety rotting wood bridge barely holding on to the two cliff sides it was built to connect. The goblin king questions how Gandalf will stop him, Gandalf is quick to slash open his throat and belly ending his retched life before we all take a tumble down the cliff sides to the bottom of the mountain the creatures start crawling down the stone walls like furies straight out of the underworld looking for souls of the living to drag to the fields of torment or even to Tartarus itself.
They run through the tunnels towards the fading sun and once they are out of the mountain they all rest to catch their breath, Gandalf counts them as they move down the hill. "Where is Bilbo?" he questions the company Hali too now just notices that the small fello is missing and she hadn't seen him since the fall into goblin town. "Shit we lost the hobbit" she curses looking around for the small hobbit while the dwarves argue over who had seen him last and who had been with him last but before it can escalate too far Bilbo step out from behind a tree no doubt having heard the whole of the argument. Howls echo from a top the hill the pal orc and his hunting pack had found them...
