Beorn ushers them back inside for some breakfast as they talk about how they will get to Mirkwood without being caught by their hunters. Beorn offers them his ponies and two horses to race them across the open plains from his home to the beginning of the elven gate and so they agreed and he sent them along with sacks of food as well.
Having released the ponies to return to their master the company now must pass the darkening woods of Mirkwood realm of Thranduil who had no respect or care for Dwarves as Lord Elrond told her once.

The company ready themselves to enter the sick woods, "No not my horse I need it" Gandalf calls out as he walks away from the female statue that was the beginning of the gate in to the Woodlen Realm. Bilbo hurries to Gandalf's side to tell him he found his courage in the Goblin tunnels when really he found the one thing that should have stayed hidden for all time, the one thing that could bring to life Middle Earth's darkest adversary.

"DO NOT LEAVE THE PATH FOR IF YOU DO YOU SHALL NEVER FIND IT AGAIN" Gandalf called out to them as he rod away from them to the west where graves of blackest night were dug down deep into the mountains.

Hali mutters to herself about the uselessness of wizards as the dwarves walk single file down the grey stone path in the dark forest, the dwarves start to become effected the farther into the forest they go. Hali knowing the effects of black mind magic can block it from her mind but as she does this she becomes separated from the company as they had lost the path and she was stuck alone in the in the dark of the woods. "This is how every white chick dies in cliché horror movies" she moans to herself as she keeps walking the path having put her helmet and hood on. She listens in on her surroundings every twitch of scattered leaves and away of every leaf she didn't like being in the woods on her own meanwhile the dwarves are off fighting giant spiders before being taken captive by the woodland elves while the little hobbit is hidden in the trees above them. The elves bring them back to the palace where Thorin and Thranduil have a go at each other before he too is thrown into a cell with his company. Not long after another scouting party find Hali on the path being her too to the king.

"As if my day could not get any worse" Hali mutters as she is brought into Thranduil's thrown room where she sees him sitting atop a very elevated thrown with it's own small staircase. "A daughter of man in my woods" he states coming down to look at her. "Uh a pompous pig of a king" she sneers "also your incorrect I'm a goddess not a mortal" she hisses pulling back her hood and elbowing the elves holding her. "Mm and what would a 'goddess' being doing in my woods" he mocks "I was separated from my travelling company and by the twitch of your eyebrow I believe you have them so if you would return them to me we will leave without further complications unless you wish to see your kingdom left in ruins" she gets up in his face.

"I think not the dwarves can waste away for all I care" he marches up to his throne and Hali starts to turn a shade of red her blood boiling over she whips a wave of water from his small pool beside it knocking him down his staircase. "You will get off your high horse or I swear on the River Styx I will make you beg for your miserable life on your knees" she howls marching down the stairs looking for the dungeons and keys. Along the staircase she runs into the dwarves. "You bloody bastards Gandalf said to stay on the path and all of you have no tolerance for magic and your stupid short tempers make everything worse" she snorts as them keep a fast pace down the stairs to the wine cellar where Bilbo tells them all to get in the empty wine barrels while Bilbo pulls the lever dropping them all into the River below. "Well done master Baggins" Thorin congratulates him and the begin their ride down the River with Hali swimming between them all underneath the water.
