The world was young, the mountains green No stain yet on the Moon was seen No words were laid on stream or stone When Durin woke and walked alone He named the nameless hills and dells He drank from yet untasted wells He stooped and looked in Mirrormere And saw a crown of stars appear As gems upon a silver thread Above the shadows of his head
The world was fair, the mountains tall In Elder Days before the fall Of mighty Kings in Nargothrond And Gondolin, who now beyond
The Western Seas have passed away The world was fair in Durin's Day
A king he was on carven throne In many-pillared halls of stone With golden roof and silver floor And runes of power upon the door The light of sun and star and moon In shining lamps of crystal hewn Undimmed by cloud or shade of night There shown forever far and bright
There hammer on the anvil smote There chisel clove, and graver wrote There forged was bladed and bound was hilt
The delver mined the mason built There beryl, pearl, and opal pale And metel wrought like fishes' mail Buckler and corslet, axe and sword And shining spears were laid in horde
Unwearied then were Durin's folk Beneath the mountains music woke The harpers harped, the minstrels sang And at the gates the trumpets rang
The world is grey, the mountains old The forge's fire is ashen-cold
No harp is wrung, no hammer falls The darkness dwells in Durin's halls The shadow lies upon his tomb In Moria, in Khazad-dûm
But still the sunken stars appear In dark and windless Mirrormere There lies his crown in water deep
'Till Durin wakes again from sleep
"The king beneath the mountains The king of carven stone, The lord of silver fountains, Shall come into his own, His crown shall be upholden His harp shall be restrung, His halls show echo golden, To songs of Yore re-sung, The woods shall wave on mountains, And grass beneath the sun His wealth shall flow in fountains And the rivers golden run, The streams shall run in gladness The lake shall shine and burn, All sorrow fail and sadness At the Mountain-King's return' this was the prophecy that the Mountain-King would not see the greatness return to his halls but by grace of the Valar his life and the life of our princes be saved by Kílf of whom was apart of this noble company" Balin speaks before crowning Thorin King and the Princes as the next in line, Fili and Kili." Gandalf resignation the prophecy of Durin's folk with his own little piece at the end that the out come was not what was laid in stone for them and that Throin would take his place as king in Erebor.
The dwarves of Erebor sing the song of Durin folk at the mountain kings return and that once again someone from such a line would wear the crown of kings. The men of Dale, the dwarves of the Iron Hills and the elves of the old Greenwoods all stood in the presents of the crowning of the king of Erebor he who took his rightful seat upon the throne of Durins Folk with the crowning jewel that had been smashed to pieces now embedded into a new crown of silver and not one rot with the dragon sickness of fallen kings. His nephews stood on either side of his as they were crowned princes to the Durin line as so began a new ere of watchful peace. Ravens were sent out to the Blue mountains for the Kins of the king and the peoples of Erebor who among them Lady Dis Thorin's little sister and Fili and Kili's mother. The partying lasted days and began a new when the rest of the Dwarves returned home, Hali had stayed behind to help rebuild some of the greatest mountain home while Gandalf returned Bilbo Baggins to his hobbit hole of Bag End in the shire.
Hali was known as Kílfto the dwarves it translated from Khuzdul gave her the name of Water Goddess, she thought it to be quiet ironic but none the less took it in with pride but before long her need to be out in the world took a sharp turn and so with Balin and a group of warriors they set out to reclaim the very beginning of Dwavendom the halls of Moria was where they set their sights amd so they fought back the goblins that had taken up home in the halls and began the work to restore it and Hali too bid them farwell as she was to journey to the North to find a young ranger by the name of Strider.
