Pieck's somehow right. I've heard of Armin's side and that he didn't mean it hurting me. Yet, I jumped into conclusions and spent six years with anger.

In fact, I wasn't able to feel anger after I gave birth to Cane to be honest. But trusting Armin would be hard too.

"I suppose you owe me an explanation." I leaned on the wall and as I looked at Jean on his computer, working in his library.

He laughed awkwardly and closed his laptop. "Guess, I can't escape." He mumbled and leaned on his swivel chair. He sighed and stared at me before talking.

"That.. Cane found out when he was four."

"WHAT?!" I shouted in panic. "You made my son carry that burden for two years?!"

"I'm sorry, it was by accident." He apologized and pouted. "He happen to overhear Pieck and I's conversation about Armin."

"Ohh, you were talking behind my back?"

"It's not that!" He said. "Pieck knows your story but she was curious about Cane's father. I never knew Cane was listening."

"And he asked about him?" I asked and he nodded. "Why didn't he told me, then?"

He clasped his hands and looked down. "That is.." He paused and sighed. "Cane is an intelligent boy. That day, he cried and swore not to give you any problems. Even if he's longing for a father, he doesn't want to show you."

Cane..

"He wanted to meet Armin but he was also giving up on that. That's when he shows interests in Levi, thinking he can be the replace of someone who can spend your time with and at the same time, his father."

I never knew Cane hid all of this for my sake. I never considered Cane doing that. I admit he's a smart boy. But carrying that kind of problem as a young boy.

I failed as a mother.

"But you don't need to worry. Cane already met Armin. He's probably given up and forgot abou everything." He chuckled.

I nodded and smiled. "Thank you." I muttered. He furrowed his brows and tilted his head. "I.. I didn't have a courage to tell Cane the truth."

Or maybe I was afraid.

I chuckled and waved my hand as I opened the door to leave. I was greeted by Armin who was about to knock.

"Armin.."

"Oh.." He smiled and scratched his nape. "I was.. about to leave." He said. I glanced on the wall clock and it's already late.

It was his second day visiting in Jean's place for Cane. As for Yelena and Pieck, they're probably somewhere in hotels to spend their days.

"Is that so? Do you want me to send you off?" I fixed my clothes and offered. He shook his head and smiled.

"It's alright. I just wanted to.. uhm," He paused and looked away in embarrassment. "..ask if you and Cane want to visit my house."

I blinked and grinned. "Of course. I'll drop Cane off on weekend after Historia's party. You're probably busy on weekdays."

"Uhh.." He hesitantly looked at me. "It's.. Uh.."

He's being shy again. How cute.

"I-I don't mind if you stay. It's still the same address."

I chuckled and tapped his shoulders, giving him a warm smile. "I'd love to!"

--
A knock from the door made me stand up and left Cane on the sofa. I walked on the door to opened it and I was surprised who's infront of it.

"Y/N!" Sasha jumped and hugged me. I stared in confusion when Connie, Historia and Ymir followed.

"Yo!" Connie raised his hands as greetings.

"What are you guy's doing here?" I asked in surprise.

"We're the one who needs to ask you that." Historia furrowed his brows. "What are you doing in Jean's house?" She sounded like a mother scolding her kid.

"Don't tell me you're--" I cut off Ymir's words by laughing awkwardly.

"First it was Armin." Connie recited. "Then, Jean again? Y/N, you're gonna hurt Armin's feelings."

"What are you talking about?" I creased my forehead and sighed. "Armin and I are in good terms. And I'm not in a relationship with someone."

"Then, how are you gonna explain why are you in Jean's house?" Ymir squinted her eyes suspiciously.

"Mama. Is that Auntie Pieck?"

"Mama..?" Sasha whispered. Her eyes widened and immediately pushed me to enter the house. I exhaled deeply when all of them started going inside without an invitation.

Sasha gasped when he saw Cane on the couch, looking at them innocently.

"Y/N AND JEAN HAD A KID?!"

"STUPID!" Connie flicked Sasha's forehead and stared at Cane. "No matter what angle you're looking, it's clearly Armin's son."

"Then, Jean and Armin had a child?"

"Alright, that's enough." I announced as Cane closed his book and went to me. "You're creeping my son out." I said when Cane hid behind me.

"T-Then.." Historia pointed at me. "You and Armin had.."

I smiled and nodded.

"Well, that was unexpected." Ymir also looked shock. I chuckled and invited them .

"How about a lunch? I'll explain everything to you." I offered.

"You actually has a lot of explaining to do. You owe us six years of it." They said as I laughed it off.

It indeed took as more than two hours, telling them my life in those six years. I ended up telling my exact location in Tokyo. There was no point in hiding them anymore.

Pieck and Yelena also came as I introduced them as my roommates. And Pieck being Pieck, she kidnapped Cane again and brought him to the mall.

It was not surprising anymore since Pieck always do that back in Tokyo.

Historia and the others had to leave since it's getting late. Jean also came back while I was tucking Cane to sleep.

"So.. did you and Armin got together again?" I flinched when Jean leaned on the door frame.

"We're getting along well." I answered.

"Not the correct answer. But are you aware that Armin still likes you?" He asked. I looked away and felt my face heating up.

"Well," He turned around. "It's your choice if you wanted to get back with him as long as you won't get hurt anymore. Be sure Cane won't get affected by your decisions, though."
