Ace Combat Fan Art!

Y'all know I love Ace Combat, I've made it obvious with all my posts praising the devs for all the hard work they've done for Ace Combat 7. Here's my own super plane I came up with, with two variations

So Galatine was the sister sword of Excalibur which is an actual superweapon in Ace Combat, being a large tower that resembled a sword that could also fire a large laser out the top. And yes that does mean the Galatine would be a Belkan aircraft which confirms that they are in some way involved with the plot of Ace combat: Wings of Unity. It's always Belka doing something, lol. And yes, Hedge's version is based off of Yellow 13's SU-37 since Yellow 13 is my favorite Ace.
Here's what his plane looks like in Ace Combat 7, even though it's technically only a skin because he's been dead for over a decade by the time 7 takes place, sadly... Hardly said a word yet he became my favorite character...
*Insert rant about how I hate Sonic's personality these days and wished he would just shut up*

And I know what some eagle eyed AC fans are going to say. "Wait, why does it look almost exactly like the X-02?" which is pictured below, technically it's the X-02S from 7 but whatever...

And yes, it's meant to! Because in Ace Combat Wings of Unity, the Galatine was based off of the X-02S recovered from where Mihaly had crashed it during AC7. Hedge takes it, modifies it, and then combines it with his SU-37 and trading some SU-35 parts for the fuselage. The engines and rudders are from an F-22 raptor, and the tail is from the CFA-44. It's essentially a franken-plane but it's actually combining all the advantages of them, save for the lack of canards. It does have 3D thrust vectoring though and small thrusters to help it maneuver.

It's main unique weapon is the Wave Cannon or the WC-1. The 1 is because it's the first model. It functions similarly to the EML (railgun) but here's the differences, with some other balancing things I thought of.

-the Wave Cannon has a higher AoE, basically being a screen wipe when upgraded. This is offset however because to use it, you cannot move in any direction but forward. This is because the gun needs a stable platform to fire from.

-the gun's fire rate and ammo are much lower, 5 I think is a good number since it would be the most powerful weapon. I mean this thing can kill the entire enemy team in one shot.

-when activated, everyone's AWACS will call out and inform everyone that they've detecting a high energy signature as the player using the XI-72 will be marked on everyone's radar even if they're in clouds or have stealth parts.

Now as for the gun itself, I'll have to draw it. But looking at the XI-72 you can see where it would fold out. For the sound, I actually created what I think it would sound like, combining the Covenant AA gun sound from Halo 3 and the Railgun from Battlefield 4.

Oh, and some of Hedge's lines when you'd have to fight him in the video game version of AC: WoU (if there was one, lol)

"Our world is dying Ghost, let me save it."
"You think you're some kind of white knight? I wish you were... Maybe you could save me too... "
"Ghost, I still consider you a friend. I understand though that money makes the world go round, not friendship. Mercenaries are kings of the skies."
"What'll you tell your conscience, that you're just a soldier following orders?"

And then as his sanity starts to leave, he makes several references to other Ace Combat games quoting Sky Eye from Ace Combat 04, Ofnir 1 and Grabacr 1 from 5, Pixy from Zero, several different Emmerian pilots from 6, and Mihaly from 7. Which is supposed to fit since the Galatine is a mix of older boss planes. (the nose looks like an SU-35 but could be seen as the ADFX-1 Morgan from Ace Combat Zero)
