Let's go baby! This story I am really excited for, not only because of how well Shadow Forces went (in my opinion), but also because Ground Zeros is going to be... Different, from my usual stuff. For example, YOU are one of the main characters, and it's in your POV! first person point of view is something that usually I only do for X readers but I want to try and do it with something more serious. So obviously it's Dare, and I was trying to do the pose from the Halo 2 cover art. I'm a very big Halo fan, so it influences a lot of my work. Including something I'll put at the end of this...

Now, for the new info...
-(Y/N) is one of the main characters. Your callsign is Nomad, we will refer to you by this name at all times. That was totally not an Ace Combat 04 reference at the end there... Or was it?
-The prolouge takes place roughly 1 year after the ending of Shadow Forces. The rest is over 5 years later however.
-An old enemy returns... Not Eggman, thanks to what happened in Shadow Forces, but someone he helped... Create. Hint: NMS
Okay, now for the last thing. Dare's role was basically I wanted a female character that could kick arse and take names, but also have a vulnerability... It didn't take long to make her Shadow's sister, being a failed experiment to basically make a Hedgehog Maria so I could have the conflict I wanted. Early on I wanted her to use guns. Not for edgy purposes like Sega did in 2005 with Shadow, but because it made her fighting style differ from the usual, so fights would be more interesting for me to write. For the name, it took a bit... But then I was playing through Halo 3: ODST (If you are not a Halo fan you may not be aware of this: Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST are two different games. ODST has the 3 in it because it uses the same engine as 3. It's more connected with 2 since it takes place during the events of 2 when Earth gets invaded. Personally I love ODST, and would love to have a remaster of it. Mainly because with Halo the Remasters are actual Remasters and not re-releases that you get charged $40 over. Yes I'm still butthurt over that.) and I Remembered Veronica Dare and how she was similar to what I wanted. And so, the Dare name was born...
