All art done by me. what's the worst that could happen? A lot of my early stuff is pretty bad but then there's like a massive leap forward in quality, lol. You are allowed to use my art AS LONG AS YOU CREDIT ME AND TELL ME YOU HAVE DONE SO.
The canon designs for these two I don't think are very good. But their original concepts I thought were pretty cool and I decided to mix and match parts of them while changing some things. Here it is...

With the two of them I wanted desaturated colors so their outfits would pop out more, plus apparently they're created by Dr Starline so that'd fit the less natural origins and contrast the saturated colors of Sonic and Co. Surge's outfit is a bright yellow and black, yellow representing electricity. No references to Scourge as Sega owns the rights to him and IDW took everything unique about Scourge and tossed it away. He was the opposite of Sonic, Surge is not even close. IDW does realize that tenrecs and Hedgehogs are two different things... Right? They aren't THAT stupid are they!? Anyways with her eyes I replaced the blue with yellow, again for electricity and it'd match her outfit. Her ponytail is a mix of her original concept art and her final design, having more aggressive quills while not being too distracting. I did keep the little bit of hair on her face, making it jut aggressively like it's a bolt of lightning almost. Also, no shark teeth. That was stupid and pointless and just made her edgy... Just like her only personality trait!
Kit's design I went with PROPER Fennec fox ears. I hate the droopy design, whoever created that idea i hope their pillows are alway warm. It's ugly, it makes no sense. I tried to mix his hair from his ugly final design and mix it with his concept design. His water "launchers" (I dunno what they're called) and other accessories are blue, representing water along with his blue eyes and shoes. Nothing in the final design said he could had water powers and instead told me he was emo and his favorite song is Animal I Have Become.

Admittedly, Kit's is definitely weaker than Surge's but I tried my best without completely redesigning him.
