(1 month later)

"Congratulations!"I grabbed her into a bear hug and lifted her in the air, causing her graduation cap to fall off in the progress.Even after giving her a hug that she dislikes, the smile still stuck to her face, refusing to leave.I couldn't believe that Monica was going to be a Sophmore!

"That means I can't bug you in class anymore,"I whined as I let her feet touch the ground, but my arms still protected her.

"That was the best part about graduating."She replied, kissing my cheek.

"Oh come on!I'm a great teacher!"I laughed, leaving kisses all around her face.

"So a great teacher dates their students?"She raised an eyebrow at me as she struggled out of my hug.

"Well, you were asking for it."I released me grasp and laid on the couch, exhausted from the graduation party.Luckily, Monica and I were all alone now and the waaaay too drunk Alfred wasn't in sight.

"We should celebrate with a date."I cheered, a bit tipsy, and threw my hands in the air.

"Gilbert, it's 1 a.m, no date at this hour."She exclaimed as she stripped out of her blue dress

That's how I could tell that she was a little drunk because a sober Monica would never take off her clothes in the living room and only having mismatching bra and underwear on as she sat next to me.

"We'll do it tomorrow then," I said.I grabbed the blanket on the couch then wrapped myself up with it like a burrito.Monica snuggled up next to me and closed her eyes to sleep.

"Gilbert, slow down!"Monica yelled, grabbing onto the seatbelt.

"It's more fun going fast!"I laughed.I sped up even more and watched the cars around me driving so slow.Driving slow is for loser!

"You're so idiotic!"She hissed.I could hear sirens behind me and red and blue lights illuminating the dark night.Monica sighed and muttered German cuss words to herself.I began to slow down and drive to the side of the road.

I groaned, hitting my head on the wheel.I swear if these cops ruin this night!

"Yes, officer?"I said to the police that stood outside of my window.I forced a smile on my face and batted my eyelashes.I could probably flirt my way out of the ticket.

"Do you know you're speeding?"He asked, flashing a flashlight on me.

"My wife is in labor and there is a possibility of her dying!"I trembled and attempted to make tears run down my face.I kept my eyes open wide and the light burned my eyes, causing tears to grow.

"Who's she?"He pointed to Monica who was currently had to most angry look on her face. Her eyes were shooting arrows at me and she began to say something until I spoke,"She's my wife."I grinned.

"She doesn't look pregnant."The officer pointed the flashlight at her.I felt sweat form on my head and my stomach felt nauseous.I tried to think of an excuse, but my brain felt scrambled.

"You see she has a..."I trailed off, refusing to stare at the man's eyes.

"Officer, I'm sorry he's being stupid and he..."Monica leaned forward to look at the officer, "He'll slow down, I swear."She looked at me.Her face was bright red from either embarrassment or angry and the vein she always gets when she's furious is popping out on her forehead.I already knew she probably is going to murder me right here and now, not caring that the officer is watching.

He sighed and walked back to his car after saying he'll be back.

"Why the hell did you do that?"She hissed in my ear so the officer doesn't overhear.

"To get out of a ticket."I bluntly said.

"We're probably in even more trouble now that you lied!"Her jaw clenched and she squirted her blue eyes.

I felt like I ruin this whole date. She presumably would make me drive her home and call off the date. This was supposed to be a special night where I propose to the love of my life under the same stars where we first kiss which was a little over two years ago.Guilt filled my heart and I regretted my decision.

"I'm-"I stopped talking when the cop came back to my window.I bite my bottom lip as I awaited the ticket.A lump in my throat prevented me from talking to the cop.

"Considering this is your first time being pulled over, you're not going to get a ticket."I felt relief fill my body and I allowed the breath that I've been holding to be released as the cop walked back to his car and proceeded to drive away.

"I'm still angry," Monica growled, crossing her arms and looking out the window.

"I'm sorry," I muttered.I began to drive again, making sure to stay within the speed limit.

She breathed in intensely, "Just don't do it again."

The rest of the drive was silence and I felt like I blew all of my chances.

"Monica, I'm sorry," I said for the fifth time as we walked to the restaurant.

"I accept your apology," Monica spoke,"But if you do it again, I wouldn't be as forgiven."

"Good! Now we can official start our awesome date!"I cheered as I held her hand.I smiled to myself and wished myself luck.

Monica laughed at my joke and my heart grew bigger with every laugh from her. That laugh she had always occupied my dreams and made my nightmares into dreams. Especially when she snorted and she'll stop, her face bright red and she hid her face.I thought it was the cutest thing ever.

"You should start laughing more,"I told her.She cancelled her laughing and blushed.

"Stop saying stuff like that."Monica ate a bite of her mash potatoes, staring into the starry night.

"Like what?"I smirked as I held back a laugh."Like how you look like the stars in the sky because you're so bright and beautiful. Also, because stars make the dark sky look so lovely.Without you in my life, I'll be just a dark night that made people scared but, with you I'm a gorgeous starry night."

I kissed her red cheek and watched her reaction. She looked in awe and her blue eyes looked so beautiful with the illumination of the stars.

"I love you," She smiled, looking down in embarrassment.

"Monica,"I breathed in and my heart was about to explode.I gulped as I fiddled with he small black box under the table,

"Will you marry me?"
